What to watch on Crave this weekend

This week’s list of Crave recommendations for your weekend viewing features a highly-anticipated Stephen King drama, plus a variety of new Crave Original series.The Outsider HBO begins 2020 with a bang with the premiere of the buzzy mystery miniseries, The Outsider. Based on a Stephen King novel of the same name, the series follows the investigation of a little league coach who is accused of gruesomely raping and killing a young boy. The Outsider stars Jason Bateman as the man suspected alongside Ben Mendelsohn as a skeptical cop and recent Golden Globe nominee Cynthia Erivo as an investigator who can't shake the supernatural events connected to the case. New EdenUp and coming Canadian comedians Evany Rosen and Kayla Lorette are the showrunners and stars of the new Crave original comedy series New Eden, a scripted true-crime mockumentary, the series centers around the co-founders of a feminist commune in the 1970s that slowly unraveled into an alien worshiping cult and murder scene. Combined with the ridiculous backstory, is a realistic true-crime structure, the entire story, which spans several decades is told through created found footage and interviews with New Eden members. If you're a fan of over the top but witty satire you don't want to miss New Eden, the entire first season is available to stream on Crave today.
