Actors Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are one of the most enduring celebrity couples. They married in 1988 and are still going strong which, like, never happens in Hollywood. That being said, we bet they’ve had their fair share of fights and squabbles over the years and during the at-home edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host asked them to re-enact a real-life couple fight sent in by one of Jimmy’s staffers. Let’s just say we were all screaming for ice cream by the end of it.The premise was simple: staffer Benjamin and his boyfriend Chris had a #dumbcouplefight over who gets to eat the cookies n’ cream ice cream. Yup, that’s pretty silly but this is what quarantine is doing to us! Enter stage left: Kevin and Kyra, direct form their home in Manhattan, with bowls of ice cream in hand, and a powder keg of emotions about to explode. The gravitas. The intention behind their words. The thee-ah-tah!
With soap opera music playing softly in the background, they sparred with lines so good, we have to wonder if they wrote them themselves. The climax of the little dramatic mise-en-scène was Kevin blowing his lid with, “You want cookies 'n' cream? There ya go!” and scooping his ice cream with his bare hands from his bowl to Kyra’s, before collapsing into a pile of tears.Clearly surprised by the Laurence Olivier levels of thespian talent before him, Jimmy exclaimed, “I don't know if you can get an Emmy for that but I sure hope you do.” New idea: Couples Emmys. Think about it.This isn’t the first time the Footloose and Singles stars have acted together, though. They appeared opposite one another in Murder in the First, and Kevin’s own directorial effort Loverboy. Clearly the world needs more of them on screen, screaming for ice cream. Make it happen.[video_embed id='1952591']RELATED: Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher can’t stop laughing on ‘Tonight Show’[/video_embed]Of course, Jimmy uses every episode of his show to shine a spotlight on a charity, and Kevin and Kyra’s fundraiser of choice is actually their own charity called—you guessed it—Six Degrees. Get it? Six degrees of Kevin Bacon.Through Six Degrees, their #IFeedTheFront initiative will help struggles restaurants provide meals to frontline healthcare workers, a double-whammy of a charity if you ask us.[video_embed id='1949552']BEFORE YOU GO: Shailene Woodley teaches Jimmy Fallon how to do a handstand[/video_embed]
