Tristan officially becomes Khloe’s sperm donor and the gang gets tipsy in Napa on 'KUWTK'

Khloe Kardashian hasn’t been shy about letting the public know about her plans to (probably) make a sibling for daughter True one day, whether it happens naturally or with the help of IVF. She is 35, after all, which is approximately 76 in Hollywood years (and in fairness, babies don’t just happen by magic). After deciding to freeze her eggs—something she calls “an insurance policy”—Khloe started to seriously consider the idea of freezing some embryos as well. After all, her doctor made it sound like a pretty good idea, and you may recall she's got a eager candidate in ex Tristan Thompson.Before anyone gets any ideas about a romantic reunion (you know, the one that’s probably going to happen by the end of the season), Khloe insisted that Tristan would just be a sperm donor. Chatting with Kourtney (yes, Kourtney’s back-ish) and Kendall, Khloe was clearly torn about how to proceed. “I feel like it’s weird because Tristan and I are not together,” she mused. “I don’t know which way to go.”[video_embed id='-1']RELATED: Khloe Kardashian's secrets to having good days[/video_embed]While Khloe’s baby-makin’ conundrum was central to this week’s episode, we also got a peek at Rob Kardashian living his best dad life and saw the return of Kourtney, who dramatically quit the show but still popped in and out this week. Explaining that she was filming occasionally but mostly focusing on her family and her lifestyle website, Poosh, Kourtney shaded her sisters by reiterating that she was happy not to be spending so much time in a “toxic environment.” We get it, Kourt—you’re done being a reality star. Mostly. Except when it involves a family trip to Napa on a private plane. (We’d go, too.)

Kim is my lawyer

We also got a glimpse of lawyer-to-be Kim, who advocated on behalf of death row inmate Rodney Reed, who many believe was unjustly convicted. “Every case is like a movie,” Kim marveled. “Every single case.”At one point, viewers saw Kim having a serious conversation with Reed and his lawyer from the set of a commercial with a bright green face mask on, which was strange to say the least. Later on, she took sensitive legal calls between winery visits in Napa. Finally, after Reed’s stay of execution was granted, Kim and her lawyers celebrated by going through the McDonald's drive-thru, asking for a free Oreo McFlurry and making the staff lose their minds at the sight of her. Even when legal matters are afoot, Kim K’s gotta be Kim K.

Speaking of Napa, Khloe was still pondering her egg vs embryo situation while boozing around wine country in celebration of mom Kris's BF Corey Gamble's birthday. She turned to Kim and Kourtney for advice (not a bad idea, since Kourtney had already frozen her eggs and Kim has been through IVF and surrogacy) but neither seemed particularly enthused about the whole Tristan-as-a-sperm-donor idea.“Mine are just frozen, I don’t have a donor,” Kourtney pointedly reminded Khloe, who wasn’t convinced.

“Tristan will do whatever I want to do, in terms of freezing embryos vs freezing eggs, but I don’t know what I want,” she explained. “In a perfect world, I’d do both, but right now I don’t know if I’m going to have that opportunity.” The decision clearly weighing on Khloe’s mind, the trio rejoined the birthday celebrations with a super-tipsy Kris and her still-not-even-40-year-old boyfriend, who insisted on some awkward dancing in the middle of the restaurant. Naturally, the party wrapped up with Khloe pointing out her mom’s camel toe. HBD, Corey!

Back in Calabasas, Khloe had big decisions to make. “Right now, Tristan and I, we’re in a strange transitional period where we’re still figuring out boundaries,” she detailed. (Most post-split boundaries don't include having more children together, but you do you, Khlo.) “It’s just not the right time. But who knows, that could change one day.”As she reconnected with Tristan over video chat, he greeted her with “Damn, you look good!” and then took a bunch of screenshots. As Khloe filled him in on her egg retrieval—there were a total of 12 eggs, five of which her doctor felt “confident” about—Tristan acknowledged that he was down to provide some sperm if Khloe wants it. “I’m on board,” he assured his ex. “However I can help.”In the end, Khloe decided to freeze this batch of her eggs and then start another round of egg retrieval in order to make some embryos with Tristan. YUP, it’s happening, boundaries be damned.“I have no idea what the future holds for Tristan and I, but I think I’d feel a lot better knowing okay, I have five embryos in a freezer and if I want to use them, I have them there,” Khloe explained.
