It was only a matter of time before the heart rate monitor challenge returned to Love Island (Monday-Sunday, 9pm on CTV) and since this season is set in Las Vegas, adding a pole to the event seemed like a no-brainer. When in Rome, amirite? The Islanders shook their money-makers and let off some steam following a dramatic recoupling that saw another OG Islander packing his bags. Mr. Gus, your daddy is on his way. Yeah, we threw up a bit in our mouths just writing that.

THE CLIFFHANGER

After Sunday night ended with a cliffhanger in the middle of the recoupling, viewers finally got to see the results and they were… not that shocking. We already knew that Justine picked Caleb (obvi), but Cely stuck with Johnny, Kierstan chose new guy Bennett, and Laurel decided to overlook Carrington’s complete lack of knowledge about her in the name of true love. As for Moira, she described choosing between Calvin, Connor and Bennie the “hardest decision she’s had to make so far in the Villa.” Really? She knew Bennie for five minutes and Connor said he was still in love with Mackenzie. This seems like an easy decision, no? Anyway, she chose to re-recouple with Calvin (because duh?). Only minutes after wheeling his (likely empty) suitcase out of the Villa, Connor was on the phone with Mackenzie and asking for a second chance. He scored an invite to Arizona, the only place that is currently hotter than Las Vegas, and is ready to find love… again. Good luck, sir.[video_embed id='2040024']ICYMI: The friendzone crashes into the breakup zone for the Islanders [/video_embed]

MOIRA’S DÉJÀ VU

Moira and Kierstan don’t appear to have much in common except for their taste in men. Both women have gone for Calvin and ended up in the friendzone. When the guys left for Casa Amora, Kierstan was interested in new guy Aaron, but Moira asked her to back down so she could pursue him. Kierstan did and then Moira realized she wasn’t interested. Now that Kierstan has finally found a solid match in Bennett, Moira is interested. We want Moira and her red bikini to find love, but Kierstan needs to catch a break.

ALL MY EXES LIVE IN TEXAS

In an effort to strengthen their current relationships, many of the couples have begun talking about their past relationships. Always dangerous territory, but Justine and Caleb navigated the landmine discussion with an ease and grace that would make Chrissy Teigen and John Legend proud. It’s the communication for us!
After Kierstan saved him during the recoupling, Bennett wanted to make sure she knew she picked someone who was in high demand and revealed that he previously dated model and social media influencer Sommer Rae, who boasts 25 million followers on Instagram. Okay, but is her collection of oversized sunglasses as impressive as Kierstan’s?

HUSTLERS

Even though Halloween is unofficially canceled this year, the Islanders still got the chance to dress up and show off their tricks and treats. The men and women took turns dancing for their roomies and didn’t seem to struggle much to get into character, whether it was a referee, a cowboy, or in Johnny’s case, a pirate with access to all the body lube in Las Vegas. Each Islander was dressed in more clothes than they typically wear all day while sitting around the pool, but they still got hearts racing. go-go dancer Justine proved that she’s a pro, but we also have to give Calvin an “A” for effort. Giddy up. The dancing ended with the arrival of two new Islanders: self-described party girl Lakeyn and Julia, who says she's not afraid of stepping on toes. Will these girls quickly undo all the progress Johnny and Cely have made in the last 24 hours? We hope not... but... maybe? #JusticeForCely.Watch new episodes of Love Island Monday-Sunday, 9pET on CTV.[video_embed id='-1']BEFORE YOU GO: Puppy is overly protective of his stuffed animals [/video_embed]
