Don't trust the cowboy.

Monday’s season 19 premiere of The Voice (Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CTV2) featured the first four-chair turn of the season and the first block when John Legend kept Kelly Clarkson from stealing trained opera singer John Holliday. On Tuesday night, Blake Shelton used his only block to shut out Clarkson once again. It’s a compliment when everyone is scared of you, right?Thankfully, Clarkson can take some solace in the fact that she scored her own classical singer on night two of the Blind Auditions. That’s right, we’re up to two opera singers this season and we’re only on night two. We look forward to this year’s guest mentor, Andrea Bocelli (jk, but wouldn’t it be amazing?).

TARYN PAPA

Country singer Taryn Papa impressed the judges with her cover of Martina McBride’s “Anyway,” earning chair turns from Blake, Kelly and Gwen. Blake was so impressed with the Nashville singer that he used his only block on Kelly, or did he? He did. He just really, really enjoys lying about it. With Kelly out of the running, Gwen still had a shot at scoring the country singer after Taryn revealed that the early days of her career included singing in a band that covered No Doubt. More recently, Taryn has enjoyed steady gigs at Blake’s Ole Red bar in Nashville. If she’s already singing at his bar, does she really need help from Blake? Apparently, yes.Team Shelton

CAMI CLUNE

Cami Clune received the second four-chair turn of the season thanks to her beautifully emotional Bon Iver cover, but only had her pick of three coaches. Kelly used her block on Blake, which turned out to be a waste since Cami went with Team EGOT. John complimented Cami on her warm and mesmerizing tone and told her he could coach her to the finale. Gwen and Kelly took a swing, but that’s a pretty solid pitch to beat.Team Legend

RYAN GALLAGHER

It doesn’t take much for Kelly and Blake to fight, but opera singer Ryan Gallagher was so talented that the frenemies resorted to straight up lies in order to win the singer for their team. “He has no idea what to do with you,” said Kelly following Ryan’s stunning performance of “The Prayer,” adding “Don’t let the cowboy take you away from me.” Blake resorted to fat fibs, because #winning, and told Ryan that Kelly already has three opera singers on her team. That cowboy is sneaky and smart. “I’m a proud member of the Grand Ole Opera,” added Blake, only half kidding. Ryan admitted that Blake was his first pick but opted to take a chance as the fourth (but actually first) opera singer on Team Kelly.Team Clarkson

AARON SCOTT

It wasn’t surprising that Aaron Scott’s performance of Fuel’s “Hemorrhage (In My Head)” got two chair turns. What was surprising was that John Legend was the first coach to turn, with Blake following. John turned early for Aaron after he fell in love with his energy and charisma, encouraging the rock singer to surprise everyone and pick him. He didn’t. The real surprise will come if Blake doesn’t imitate Aaron’s rock voice every time they work together.Team Shelton
