It’s hard to believe that after more than a month spent watching couples fall in love/like on Love Island (Monday-Sunday, 9pm on CTV), this season has almost come to an end. With only one night left in the Villa, the final four couples got to enjoy epic last dates, which provided a stunning backdrop for their conversations about the future. Well, some were more epic than others. We love seafood, but we’ll take the Grand Canyon helicopter ride over an oyster, thanks.

JUSTINE AND CALEB

The finale of Love Island has yet to air, but we can all agree that Justine and Caleb should win, right? At the very least, they’re the couple to beat. Jaleb have remained steady on their trajectory toward love and on Tuesday night, Caleb conquered his fear of heights in order to sit on the edge of the Grand Canyon and tell Justine he loves her (a bold setting on the off chance she didn’t reciprocate his feelings).“I don’t know what the future holds for us but the two things I do know is that I want to find out and I do genuinely love you,” said Caleb. Of course, our queen Justine knows she’s found her king and delivered a big ol’ "I love you" right back to her boo, calling their date the best day of her life. Excuse us while we swoon over this giant natural wonder… called Jaleb. The Grand Canyon is cute, too. CARRINGTON AND LAUREL

After seven dates, Carrington is finally in love… with a car. He also really likes Laurel. The pair spent their date looking like a 90’s music video as they cruised through the Valley of Fire in a Ferrari before once again not eating the food prepared for their lunch. Does anyone eat on these dates? Showing off his newfound maturity, Carrington agreed that he’s ready to make things work long distance with Laurel and will visit her twice a month and FaceTime daily. Check out the new mega-mature Carrington! He’s also the guy that returned to the Villa still wearing his driving gloves and boasted about his joyriding, which immediately set Calvin and Johnny’s hopes unexpectedly high for their very tame, very slow dates. There’s only so much growth a person can make in one day.

MOIRA AND CALVIN

What is on par with a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon and riding a Ferrari through the Valley of Fire? Eating oysters for the first time! JK. It’s not. Calvin and Moira got all dressed up to almost be set on fire by 1,000 lit candles and then play allergy roulette to see whether Calvin can handle shellfish. They danced to a string quartet, made vague plans for the future, and did their best to make a disappointing date look exciting. This is why it’s always better to just stay home and make grilled cheese.

CELY AND JOHNNY

Cely and Johnny spent the day (not so) patiently waiting for their date and finally got to put on their last remaining fancy outfit to enjoy a private show in one of the theatres at Ceasars. Johnny couldn’t believe the entire auditorium was cleared out just for them. We know the Islanders don’t have contact with the outside world, but he knows there’s still a global pandemic going on, right? Cely and Johnny enjoyed a performance by dancers who could probably win Love Island based on their chemistry and then talked about being able to take on anything because they’ve weathered life in the Villa. Again, global pandemic. Johnny said he’s excited to do normal things like drive around with Cely and listen to music, which is sweet. Cely is excited to get married and have babies, which is slightly concerning after Monday’s parenting challenge. Maybe a nanny for Johnny Jr. III?
