The 'Dancing With The Stars' finale has some fans feeling a little 'catfished' over the winner

Last night, there were four couples left on the dancefloor, vying for the Mirrorball trophy, bragging rights, and fan adoration on the finale of Dancing With The Stars: Bachelorette (and Canadian!) Kaitlyn Bristowe, Catfish host Nev Schulman, rapper Nelly, and actress Justina Machado. But only one dance team could win. After the couples spent the show dancing their hearts out (one favourite and one freestyle), it was time for host Tyra Banks (wearing some killer gowns and costumes all night) to crown a king and queen of the dancefloor.One by one, another couple bites the dust... first Justina, who came in fourth, then Nelly in third. It’s tough to choose a winner between Kaitlyn (with partner Artem) and Nev (with partner Jenna), as they both displayed lightness of foot all season. But as Tyra got the news via her earpiece, she gasped before exclaiming, “Kaitlyn and Artem!” Artem dropped to the floor and Kaitlyn screamed for joy, while Nev and Jenna hugged each other tightly. It was quite the explosive moment. So explosive, in fact, that a faction of DWTS fans are still raging over the results. Tweeting conspiracy theories and voicing their dissatisfaction, it would seem a lot of DWTS viewers are Team BeNeevers and not Team Will You Accept This Dance.First, of course, fans noticed that for two years in a row now, the DWTS winner has been a Bachelorette – last year Hannah Brown won. The Bachelorette is an ABC show as is DWTS, so the conspiracy tweets suspect that the ABC brand is afoot here.

Of course, whether or not Nev himself feels duped (or "Catfished," if you will…) is still a mystery, because he has been nothing but gracious after coming in second. He furiously applauded Kaitlyn and Artem on their win, and after the show, he posted nothing but humble gratitude for being included in the dance competition, whilst again congratulating the winners.
