The graphic novel by Rick Spears, with art by James Callahan and Luigi Anderson, tells the twisted tale of fictionalized film producer Nathan T. Rex. Desperate for redemption after his latest project bombs, Rex accidentally puts his crew in the cross-hairs of a serial killer while working on his next big movie. Doesn’t quite sound like your average day on set, now does it?Fresh off his Academy Award win for Best Adapted Screenplay, Waititi sounds like the perfect person to lift The Auteur from the page to the screen. He's also proven himself as a master of imagination, after 2017's Thor: Ragnarok, and with horror-comedies What We Do in the Shadows and Wellington Paranormal under his belt.
