[video_embed id='2056227']RELATED: Jacob Tremblay tells us how he ended up in Justin Bieber's 'Lonely' video [/video_embed]Of course, Canadian Twitter nearly lost their minnnds when SNL dedicated an entire skit to poking fun at the CBC, Montreal, and Drake with a skit called “Bonjour-Hi!” Starting off the skit by insinuating the CBC has a Schitt’s Creek spinoff called Schart’s Cavern (um, gross?), they ran with the idea that a Montreal daytime talk show would feature 1) Parisian accents for some reason, and 2) an obsession with Drake. Okay, SNL.I’m going to go ahead say it, that’s the best vocal performance I’ve ever seen/heard from @justinbieber.

Calling Montreal “the best part of Canada and the worst part of France,” (we’re gonna need a minute to ponder that), Kate McKinnon and Bowen Yang attempted some real and some 100% fake French before throwing to their Toronto correspondent, played by guest host Issa Rae, for another installment of “Drake Watch!”Standing in front of the CN Tower near the Harbourfront, Issa Rae joked about Drake’s character on Degrassi, but not before saying: “Well I thought I saw Drake but it was just my friend Etienne. Etienne looks a lot like Drake plus I was confused because he was crying in a basketball court.” Hmm. Tough but fair.Viewers on Twitter had a very strong reaction to the skit, and some were less impressed than others.Welcome to ???????-??! pic.twitter.com/EyxsZsl4V5

The Canadian segment Bonjour Hi on SNL made me laugh out loud.

SNL you are too talented to conflate the French accent from France with the Québécois accent. Like British vs American. It’s not like we share a border or anything!

But one Canadian broadcaster was kind of loving it.Canadians are so desperate to be recognized by America that they bend over backwards to champion this painfully boring and humorless skit. So little self respect for our own entertainers that this becomes the comedy that everyone shares. Grow up. https://t.co/sBmVvezkza

On top of all this Can-Con, Scarborough’s own Jim Carrey reprised his role as a bumbling Joe Biden in the cold open and, as TIFF artistic director Cameron Bailey pointed out on Twitter, Canadian writer Celeste Yim had a writing credit on Saturday's episode too. Basically, this SNL was perhaps the most Canadian episode since the actual Drake played a confusing “Toronto Man” in a Black Jeopardy skit. But really, next time they should bring back hallowed cast member Mike Myers to make it MEGA maple leaf.[video_embed id='2058465']RELATED: We can't get enough of Justin Bieber on SNL.[/video_embed]Bonjour - Hi.
