Sandra Oh can seemingly do it all. The 6-1-3 God(dess) is an Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe-winning actress, viral TikTok sensation, and of course, was the history-making host of the 2019 Golden Globes. While accomplishing all that obviously takes stepping out of your comfort zone, Sandra revealed that one of those things might have been a step too far even for her.“I will never host again,” she flat-out told Seth Meyers during Late Night. “It was so crazy. I have never been so nervous or frightened in my life. Actually frightened!" Sandra, who is nominated for another Emmy this year for her portrayal of Eve Polastri on Killing Eve (along with co-stars Jodie Comer and Fiona Shaw), added it can still be incredibly stressful to be nominated, but that nervousness, unlike when you're hosting the whole show, dissipates as the night goes on.
"As a nominee, it all kind of depends on the placement," she explained. "I will say, having been a nominee before for Grey’s [Anatomy], usually ‘Supporting’ comes early. You are only nervous for a certain amount of time and then you can let go! You win or you lose, and then you can just chill out.” Awards are cool and all, but for Sandra, it sounds like the night is really about reconnecting with the creatives she hasn't seen in a while and gasping/genuflecting when Lady Gaga walks by.While it means the Emmys will be going virtual this year, quarantine has also given us our fair share of glimpses into the homes of the rich and famous (that’s where Kerry Washington hangs her kids' art! That’s where Demi Lovato writes songs!). Since Oh was video-chatting with Meyers during her mandatory two-week quarantine after returning to Vancouver, she shared a look at some of the oddities and rarities peppering her sister’s homestead where she's passing the time.“I’m always fantasizing about redoing my sister’s house, and she gets angry at me for it.”If you didn’t quite get what she meant by that, luckily she grabbed her laptop and took Seth, and viewers, on a tour of just one room in this wacky house. Sandra’s sister has two children and the home clearly reflects that—a box of half-used paint tubes; A cat tree; An awfully short sofa; A neck pillow; A ping pong table in the middle of the room; An upright piano covered in a bed sheet; A wooden gecko!—it's like a museum of curiosities and head-scratchers.[video_embed id='2017699']RELATED: Daniel Dae Kim and Randall Park will co-star in heist movie [/video_embed]Of course, Seth couldn’t let Sandra go without mentioning that a small part she once had in a 2001 teen movie has somehow become a viral sensation. If you haven’t been on TikTok lately, you might not know that Sandra’s one line from The Princess Diaries where she answers a phone and gasps "The queen is coming!" has enthralled TikTokers who recite the line, except they use cats instead of telephones. As you do.“It’s freaking hilarious!” she exclaimed. “And it’s actually a really good line to do something like that with.” (She even recreated it herself back in May).Although she credits the late, great director Garry Marshall for her performance in that film, Seth admitted that she should retroactively get the Oscar for her bit in that film. Seth and a million TikTokers can’t be wrong!See if the 12-time Emmy nominee finally takes home a trophy when The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards air Sunday, September 20 at 8ET on CTV.[video_embed id='2017037']BEFORE YOU GO: Dan Levy shares invitation to University of Alberta course 'Indigenous Canada' [/video_embed]
