It’s official, the fan-favourite ‘Clone Wars’ character, Ahsoka Tano, is officially coming to The Madalorian for season 2. The best part? Rosario Dawson has been chosen to bring the fan favourite character, who's been inspiring kids — especially girls — with her dauntless integrity and fearsome fighting skills, to the small screen. The Star Wars spin-off series, became a huge hit amongst audiences when it launched late last year, with viewership rivalling TV mega hits like Game of Thrones and Stranger Things. It still holds a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes! Now, with Rosario joining the second season — slated to arrive this fall — the already high anticipation from fans is only getting bigger. In fact, back in 2017, a fan actually tweeted at Dawson asking her to appear in a Star Wars movie as Ahsoka, and the actress responded, “Ummmm… yes, please?!”. Now that is a tweet that aged well. In the origin story, Ahsoka serves as Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice and proves to be a central character over time. At one point in the animated series, she is undercover on the home planet of the Mandalorians, and we’re not involved in writing the scripts for season 2, but that could inspire some interesting plot twists. We what do know is Rosario's version will mark the character's first live-action appearance. Of course, for the more casual fans, the focus won’t all be on Dawson’s portrayal of Ahsoka. The series has placed another star in our midst (pun intended, considering we are talking about a galaxy far-far-away, here). People who haven't watched a single episode of The Mandalorian will recognize Baby Yoda, who inspired an influx of viral memes across our social media networks late last year.[video_embed id='5247959943001']RELATED: Master Yoda shows dog how to use the Force.[/video_embed]Don’t believe us? There’s literally an Instagram profile dedicated to Baby Yoda memes, aptly named ‘@babyyodamemes’. I mean, we can’t blame them. He is pretty unbelievably cute (for an animated character, and all).We just want to know if Ahsoka and Baby Yoda will interact on screen. If not, will Rosario and Baby Yoda interact behind the scenes? We'd love to be able to use the Force to predict the future, but will just have to wait.
