Oscar Isaac is making his way from one cinematic universe to another. No stranger to the world of superheroes and epic battles, the Star Wars actor is reportedly in talks to play the title hero in Moon Knight, a TV adaptation of the popular Marvel comic, according to Deadline.
Moon Knight is the story of Marc Spector, a former boxer, soldier, and mercenary who fights crime as the human avatar of Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon. Similar to DC’s Batman, Spector is a millionaire entrepreneur-turned-superhero, but unlike the Dark Knight, he uses alter egos like cabbie Jake Lockley, keeping him connected to the streets of New York, and millionaire playboy Steven Grant, to distance himself from his mercenary past.
And yes, fans of the classic comic are beyond ready for Oscar Isaac to take on the role for the Disney+ series.

While the thought of buff Oscar Isaac running around in a very revealing white spandex supersuit is, in a word, DELIGHTFUL, if there is not at least one joke about how impossible said white spandex is to keep clean while he drinks red wine, I will deem it a failure regardless.

Fans will likely recall that this technically isn't Isaac’s first rodeo in the Marvel universe, as he starred in X-Men: Apocalypse before Marvel reacquired the film rights to the X-Men franchise. He also voiced Spider-Man 2099 in the Into the Spider-Verse end credits scene. More recently, Isaac played Poe Dameron in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which marked the end of the beloved Disney trilogy.

Disney+ and Marvel have yet to confirm a director for the series.
While we wait for confirmation that Isaac has officially accepted the role of Marc Spector, the Ex Machina actor has plenty of exciting projects nearing release, including the Dune reboot and The Card Counter. Isaac is also set to star in the new HBO limited series, Scenes from a Marriage opposite Jessica Chastain.
