Get ready for Nick Jonas to turn his chair on The Voice (Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CTV2) for Season 20. The JoBro announced his return on Tuesday, and he's declared that "the newbie has now become the master.Nick posted a video of coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Blake Shelton, wondering who would step in as the new coach next season to replace Gwen Stefani. The three stumble upon Nick sitting on the ground meditating. "I've been living and breathing The Voice since season 18; I've honed in my skills," Jonas says. "Channel your inner champion. Make Blake cry. Little do these coaches know, I've grown stronger by the day. The newbie has now become the master."Of course, Blake states the obvious by declaring Nick is back. "What are you doing, buddy? Taking a nap?" Blake asks. "A warrior never sleeps," Nick replies, to which Shelton says, "Oh my God, he's so cute when he's scary!"

Nick joined the singing competition as a coach for Season 18 in 2019, and he brought Thunderstorm Artis to the finale. Team Blake's Todd Tilghman took the win, but Nick isn't looking to lose to Blake again. When he first joined the show, he shared the news during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (weekdays at 3 p.m. ET on CTV) with his brothers, Kevin and Joe.“Nick, you tweeted something out today, and I said I’m going to see you in a few hours, so I thought I’d let you make this big announcement now,” host Ellen DeGeneres said to the "What A Man Gotta Do" singer. “I said I was going to make the announcement tomorrow, though,” Jonas responded. “I know, but I want you to do it today,” DeGeneres said on her show at the time. ” You owe me … I’m going to ruin it, then. I have a clip. I gave you a chance.”[video_embed id='2078263']MORE MUSIC NEWS: Find out who Jessie Reyez is skateboarding with along the California coast[/video_embed]She went on to play a clip of Blake, who said: “Nick Jonas, how you doing, buddy? I heard that you’re going to be a new coach on The Voice and I wanted to, first of all, say congratulations. But second of all, I want to voice some concerns that I have.” He joked that Nick wasn't old enough to be a coach on the show and said he was certain that Jonas was going to "get your butt kicked, buddy." Nick's wife, Priyanka Chopra, called him "a music prodigy since he was seven years old" and said that Blake "better watch out."The news of Nick's return comes after country legend Reba McEntire said that she declined an offer to be a coach on the show before Blake took the position (and became the reigning king of The Voice). "It is very true. It was a very popular show in Holland, I'm pretty sure, and I watched the tape, and I said, 'No, I'm going to pass on that' because I don't think I could ever be able to tell somebody that they're terrible or go find another job or hope you like your nighttime job," Reba told Andy Cohen.Blake declared his rivalry with Nick at the 2019 Country Music Awards, saying that "he's going down" because he replaced his fiancée, calling the move "unacceptable."The feud between the pair is sure to ignite again because Nick will be sitting in Gwen's chair again.
