After a season of ups and downs, Keeping Up With The Kardashians latest season came to an end Sunday night. After last week’s serious sit down with Kourtney about her future on the show, momager Kris felt it was time to bring everyone together for another family vacation to focus on team building. They flew out on two separate private jets, apparently to accommodate Kylie, who as per usual, didn’t even show up. When you can’t fit your whole family on one jet, maybe you need to rethink your life choices? Reducing their plastic usage is utterly pointless if they’re going to use two separate planes to get ten people to a state a couple hours away. As disappointed as we were about the continued lack of Kylie, Kendall was even more bummed that her sister didn’t even bother to show up when she flew in all the way from Europe for the quick two day vacation.

The focus of the trip was supposed to be on getting their communication back on track so they can continue to film the show, but apparently a forced cattle drive and ropes course didn’t exactly help them bond the way Kris had hoped. After Kourtney mocked Khloe for not finishing the course and Khloe called her a bully, Kourtney was ready to leave the vacation. All families go through their ups and downs and some never get back to the place they were once at. Will that be the case for the Kardashians? Obviously, they are still filming and season 18 is set to premiere next spring, so they clearly did manage to work it out. But on the trip Kourtney again made it very clear that her priority is her kids and not the show, and if filming makes her unhappy she shouldn’t be doing it. Kim and the sisters agreed, and they want her to be happy, so it will be interesting to see what exactly does make it into next season. Will it just be Kim and Khloe again as it generally was this season? After 17 seasons, maybe it is just time for them to all focus on their businesses and see how their brands survive without the show. We certainly don’t see Kim wanting to end the show anytime soon, but with so many boundaries, it’s going to be hard to find any real drama to keep the narrative alive.
