Even though you can still catch The Office on CTV Comedy, you can't escape the fact that you're just watching the same old episodes over and over. Nothing new is coming down the pipe from the Dunder Mifflin gang. That is, until now.Stars and longtime BFFs Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey are teaming up to launch an Office-themed podcast where the women will break down episodes, share behind-the-scenes trivia, and basically reminisce about the show we all know and love. "As we close in on the 15th anniversary of the show, it seemed like a great time to share our stories and behind-the-scenes trivia with fans," Fischer said in a statement to CNN. "Besides talking about The Office, you can also hear us chat a little about our lives, our Target runs together, our friendship through the years." Kinsey added: "The Office was such an amazing chapter of our lives and it means so much to us that we get to share some of our memories of filming it with our audiences." They have no idea. The actress best known as Pam Beesley, then Pam Halpert in later seasons, also posted the news on Instagram. "My bff @angelakinsey and I are excited to be teaming up with @earwolf to bring you our new podcast Office Ladies!," Fischer captioned the announcement photo on Instagram. "Each week we will watch an episode of The Office and tell you all the behind-the-scenes scoop and trivia...the kind of stuff that only two people who were there can know." Let's be honest, though. The podcast really should be called The Party Planning Committee, but Phyllis may have had something to say about that.
Now, if they have a special Dundie Awards episode, share the same theme song, or bring on special guests (Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Mindy Kaling and Rainn Willson, we're looking at you), consider us dead. The Office, which was adapted from the original BBC series starring Ricky Gervais, debuted in 2005 and ran for nine seasons. It was popular for NBC then, but a new generation rediscovered its awesomeness via streaming and syndication.Office Ladies — which comes from Stitcher's comedy podcasting network, Earwolf — will premiere on October 16 and be available there as well as on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and wherever else you download podcasts.
