Kim had health issues, welcomed a new baby, got political and admitted a mistake
It may feel like a million years ago now, but it was just last season that Kim and husband Kanye West welcomed their fourth child: a
son named Psalm who was delivered via surrogate. We also saw Kim deal with a devastating autoimmune condition diagnosis, visit the White House, help get a non-violent drug offender out of prison and announce her intent to become a lawyer specializing in justice reform. Oh, and daughter North hung out with JoJo Siwa, of course. If that wasn’t enough, Kim also launched her new shapewear line but not before taking a major misstep by originally naming the brand Kimono. After sizable backlash online and the mayor of Kyoto sending Kim a personal letter detailing why using the name would be hurtful and culturally insensitive, Kim listened, and the line was
reborn as Skims.
Khloe’s romantic life was komplicated, to say the least
The season started with Khloe reconnecting with ex Tristan Thompson to celebrate daughter True’s first birthday, however, the somewhat-tense reunion was just as co-parents. While their relationship status continued to be complicated in the weeks that followed (remember when
Tristan randomly showered her with diamonds and a promise ring?), Khloe had another ex to deal with:
Lamar Odom, who was on a media tour after releasing a tell-all memoir about his life and their marriage. While the door seems to be closed on any romantic future with Odom, we’re not sure what the months ahead hold for Khloe and Tristan, who are forever linked by baby True.[video_embed id='-1']RELATED: Khloe Kardashian's secrets to having good days[/video_embed]
Kendall kept living her best life
Kendall Jenner appears to spend most of her time being the world’s highest paid supermodel and
flirting with Harry Styles on national television while avoiding any major family drama. Aside from some tension with Kylie during a family trip to Wyoming, Kendall has maintained her reputation for staying cool and delivering killer one-liners while keeping out of most KarJenner conflicts. In short? Kendall is awesome.
Kylie gave us ‘rise and shine’ while continuing to build her empire
The youngest KarJenner sibling and the family’s resident billionaire, Kylie spent the last season working on her beauty empire while raising adorable daughter Stormi. Though it wasn’t shown on KUWTK, Kylie gifted us all with “
Rise and Shine” and eventually parted ways (for now?) with Travis Scott. Let’s hope we learn more about what’s going on between the amicable exes on Season 18.
Kris Jenner wanted us to know that she did not have sex with OJ Simpson
As the 25th anniversary of Nicole Brown Simpson’s murder loomed, a bold rumour resurfaced, namely that Kris had slept with her friend’s ex-husband and accused murderer, OJ Simpson (in a hot tub, no less). Calling the rumours “
tasteless and disgusting,” Kris was particularly upset that the tabloids also suggested (again) that Simpson was Khloe’s real father. “Enough is enough,” the matriarch fumed, threatening legal action against
The Daily Mail. In a strange turn of events, OJ Simpson himself used Twitter to call the rumours “bogus.” Um, thanks?[video_embed id='1881291']RELATED: Kim Kardashian reveals how she’s finding balance in her life[/video_embed]
Scott Disick was in dad mode
Remember Lord Disick, who partied and made bad decisions and generally created chaos wherever he went? Well, he’s been replaced by
Dad Disick, and we’re sort of charmed. Last season involved plenty of family time and an actual dog show. Yes, there were moments of
tension and awkwardness between Scott, baby mama Kourtney and Scott's girlfriend Sofia Richie, but it all smoothed over pretty well. Time will tell if dad mode continues into the new season.
Kourtney thought about leaving the show
If Kourtney’s appearances in season 17 gave you the distinct sense that
she was over it, you were right. The eldest Kardashian sister made it clear throughout the season that she would rather spend time with her kids than work on anything to do with the show or her sisters’ brands. The word “boundaries” was used a lot as Kourtney filmed less and argued more. Kim and Khloe were beyond frustrated with their older sister, claiming she was creating extra work for everyone else, and some of the biggest battles of the season ensued. Get your popcorn ready—we foresee this issue popping up again (and again).
