Hollywood mainstay Demi Moore has been in this game for decades, so she’s no stranger to controversy. Whether she’s posing naked while pregnant on the cover of
Vanity Fair, or releasing
a tell-all memoir, the woman has enough chutzpah to let any gossip or backlash slide off her back. The latest Demi news sending the Twitterverse into a tizzy isn't really as controversial at all that but it's definitely a head-scratcher. A picture Moore posted of herself working on her laptop in her home bathroom quickly went viral this week for an odd design feature, begging the question: why would the woman who has been a style icon for a generation put shag carpet in her bathroom?“Actually, because this is the house that my children grew up in,” Demi told Seth Meyers via video-chat from the very couch she had in the bathroom earlier, “that originally was a Bruce Willis choice.”
Considering that the
Die Hard superhero had been
quarantining with Demi and their three daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, we’re going to guess that the poop-shag is there to stay.“Not to put it off on him, we also live in the mountains where it gets very cold,” she continued, ever gracious and kind when speaking about her second husband. “So it's never bothered me. It's actually quite good.” She added that if it's normal to have rugs in your bathroom, why are carpets all that different? Which is... a good point. If you haven’t seen
the picture of Demi plugging away at work in her bathroom, there is a lot going on. On top of the questionable carpeting, there are face masks hanging from an ornamental hand, there’s a toy monkey shoved into the stone wall, her laptop is sitting atop a hat box, there’s a toilet just, like, in the middle of the mix, and she’s sitting on a floral sofa—something she's sad that commenters did not pick up on.[video_embed id='1993298']RELATED: Demi Moore has transformed her bathroom into an office [/video_embed]"In all of the comments, I was most disappointed that nobody commented that the couch that was in there... it's a miniature couch," she said, adding that she pulled the small couch into the bathroom because it's the place with the best sound to record her new erotic podcast
Dirty Diana from home, and she needed a comfortable seat (other than the toilet). "I couldn't bring full-size furniture in. So, this little miniature couch was something that I had made for my children long ago. And so I just whipped this baby in there," she said.“I appreciate the interest that has gone into all of my little oddities,” she laughed. “because this, you know—this place definitely houses a lot of my treasures. And I have had some big laughs over the comments with my family who know me well—all of my eccentricities of small and large."She gestured to her giant tennis ball and safety pin as examples.
