In these strange and uncertain times, it’s important for all of us to remember to have a giggle every now and then. Luckily, even whilst physically distancing and under quarantine, our most beloved late night TV talk show hosts are still providing nightly doses of LOLs from the comforts of their own homes. Jimmy Fallon's horsing around with his kids; Jimmy Kimmel's video-chatting with Guillermo; Stephen Colbert's monologuing from his bathtub; Samantha Bee's chopping wood in the forest. But James Corden of The Late Late Show has been noticeably absent. Where ya at, James? In honour of The Late Late Show’s upcoming five-year anniversary, our Lord of the Carpool has returned to YouTube with a montage of all the times "Carpool Karaoke" took a turn no one was expecting. Remember when he took Ariana Grande to Starbucks? Or when Billie Eilish terrorized him with her tarantula? We've been waiting on a "Quarantine Karaoke," but we'll take what we can get.
There was the 2018 ride with Adam Levine from Maroon 5 when the cops (understandably) pulled them over for causing a traffic hazard, but let them off with a warning. We wonder if that's when James started opting for the tow-truck.Then there was that 2016 ride with the Red Hot Chili Peppers when Anthony Kiedis challenged Corden to a playfight. “I love a good man-wrestle,” James insisted. “I’ll wrestle you any time you want, and I’ll destroy you.” Cut to Kiedis and Corden jumping about  on some stranger’s front lawn trying to best the other. Imagine looking out your front window and seeing the Red Hot Chili Peppers trying to take down a late night talk show host. Wow.[video_embed id='-1']RELATED: Samantha Bee, Trevor Noah shoot late shows from woodshed and couch, respectively[/video_embed]Other highlights from the montage included Usher and Corden jumping out of the vehicle to help push a stranded car up the road to a wrecking yard, with Usher stepping into the road to stop traffic (“Don’t die, Usher, don’t die!”). Then, of course, Billie and her pet tarantula (*shudder*) and our absolute fave: Ariana Grande making fun of her own grande reputation. The rumour around town at the time was that she needed to be carried everywhere she went, so she and Corden stopped at a Starbucks mid-Carpool with James lifting the singer onto his back as she loudly announced, “Hello I’m Ariana Grande, I must be carried! Did you know I demand to be carried everywhere? That is the kind of pop star I am!” When she ordered her soy latte, she quipped, “Oh, I’m gonna get a grande! Gets ‘em every time.”While we do love a good montage, the rest of our hosts around the late night universe were still putting out shows from home. Fallon spoke with fellow host Trevor Noah about the charity No Kid Hungry, which provides assistance to schools and communities in feeding underprivileged children. Colbert showed us how to change a bike inner tube because he is now basically a YouTuber; and Jimmy Kimmel gave quarantine sex tips (be safe, kids!). So though we may be isolated these days, we’re certainly never short on laughs.[video_embed id='1924882']RELATED: Jimmy Fallon’s kids crawling all over him while he’s trying to work is all of us right now[/video_embed]
