America’s Got Talent: Champions crowned its latest winner on Monday night and awarded dance group V. Unbeatable with the ultimate title. The high-flying, death-defying supergroup edged out some impressive competitors, including acrobatic group Duo Transcend, who placed second behind the India-based dance troupe.Judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Alesha Dixon and Heidi Klum celebrated V. Unbeatable’s win, which was a fitting end to the star-studded season. The announcement of the top five included some surprising results, including the early exit of Russian bar performs Sandou Trio and double-voiced performer Marcelito Pomoy. Monday night’s finale show relied heavily on footage previously shown throughout the season, but did include group performances that gave the Top 10 one last time to shine on national television.Rock band KISS opened Monday’s episode and were followed by German artist Hans, who called AGT the weirdest show on earth. He’s not far off. Hans' intro led into Marcelito singing Queen’s “We Are The Champions” while Boogie Storm entered and exited the theatre in full Storm Trooper getup, doing little more than walking in sync. In the background, Duo Transcend and Sandou Trio risked their lives by flipping on a beam and hanging from a hoop. As the show has taught us, not all acts are created equal.
V. Unbeatable got the stage to themselves for a full performance at the midway point on Monday night and were backed by Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, who even got a small role in the choreography by holding up a drumstick for a dancer to catch mid-air. It was good to see the hugely talented group score solo time on stage, a move that possibly hinted at what was the come later in the evening. Plus, there are so many members of V. Unbeatable that fitting everyone on stage is enough of a feat without throwing in a second act.

Tyler Butler-Figuero, who earned an impressive third place this season, provided the musical accompaniment for singer Angelina Jordan. The Norway’s Got Talent winner gave a beautiful rendition of Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Love,” but the most soothing part of the captivating performance was thanks to the return of past AGT contestant and Ukrainian sand artist, Kseniya Simonova. We need to do more finger painting.[video_embed id='5993936958001']Simon Cowell reveals how he feels about trolls[/video_embed]AGT superstar Lindsey Sterling also made an appearance, taking the stage along with shadow performers Silhouettes. The group once again broke out their cardboard cutout of a dog head just in case another soldier leaving for war-scenario wasn’t emotionally gripping enough. People love dogs. Which war the soldier was fighting is up for debate. The performance included FaceTiming from a war zone, but the uniform looked like it was from the Vietnam war. It’s better to focus on the emotions, not the facts.

Last year’s AGT winner Kodi Lee also returned, reminding viewers once again why he deserved every single vote he got during Season 14. The singer gave a beautiful rendition of Harry Styles’ “Sign of the Times” and provided a quick update on his career, confirming that he is working on new music now that he’s signed to Simon Cowell’s record label. Cowell is likely hoping that unlike Styles, Lee will stick with him throughout his solo career.[video_embed id='1902298']Harry Styles' epic 2020 continues[/video_embed]
