Monday night’s episode of America’s Got Talent: The Champions (Monday’s at 8 p.m. ET on CTV) marked the final performances for this season’s Top 10. Each finalist got their last chance to perform in front of judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel, and the wide chasm between certain acts became more apparent than ever. Some contestants are figuratively performing like their life depends on it and others are literally performing like their life depends on it. Fire makes a big difference between the two options. As always with AGT, comparing apples to oranges forces the judges and viewers at home to contrast acts that may have little in common except the stage they perform on. Is a singer any less impressive because they’re not standing on a pit of fire? Is willingly risking your life more impressive than than training eight dogs to do a conga line? And while we’re on it, what does Hans do?One thing's for sure, the judges had their favourites and were ready to uses their Xs and their comments to take down acts they didn’t believe in. BLINDED BY DUO TRANSCEND

During last week’s semi-finals, Duo Transcend stunned the judges with their Greatest Show on Earth homage, which included blindfolded roller skating. The couple stepped things up a notch this week and performed their entire routine blindfolded while suspended in the air. Alesha called it Fifty Shades of Dancing and Simon said it was the couple’s best performance because they took a dangerous risk. Howie thought they were better last week. Thankfully, Monday night was the final performance, because at this point it’s unclear what the next step would be to impress the judges—blindfolded and suspended over a pit of hungry lions; blindfolded, hanging from a swing, and using Edward Scissorhand-style gloves while catching one another? What more is there?

V.UNBEATABLE’S UNBEATABLE PERFORMANCE

When it came to V. Unbeatable’s bicycle-inspired performance, the judges agreed that the supergroup from India delivered one of the greatest routine’s in AGT history. Howie said they were the best to ever step on the stage. The group’s stunning acrobatics and cheerleading-inspired throws and baskets were mesmerizing to watch and put the final nail in Boogie Storm’s Death Star. But there is one critique worth pointing out. Asking groups to continuing push their physical limits and perform more shocking and dangerous stunts is one thing when those involved are adults, but the people being thrown through the air in V. Unbeatable are children so we had mixed feelings about their escalating stunts.

SANDOU TRIO’S TRIPLE THREAT

Speaking of death-derying adults, Sandou Trio knew what they were signing up for when they decided to flip off a bar while a) blindfolded b) over nails and c) over nails on fire. The performance was as impressive as it was stressful to watch, and we’ve never been so thankful that this was the final performance. Our blood pressure can’t handle much more. The trio like to say that they perform for their children, but how do you tell your kids not to do dangerous stuff themselves when it’s your job to jump over burning nails? Seems like quite the parenting pickle.

MARCELITO’S MARVELOUS MUSIC

Marcelito Pomoy continued to prove his act is not a gimmick with yet another beautiful performance on Monday night. The double voiced singer went the Disney route and sang “Beauty And The Beast.” Taking on the roles of beauty and the beast, Marcelito once again delivered a soaring ballad that gave viewers two singers for the price of one. Simon criticized his song choice, but that could have been sour grapes over Howie giving his beloved Boogie Storm the X. It’s time to let Boogie Storm go, Simon.Watch America’s Got Talent: The Champions every Monday at 8 p.m. ET on CTV.[video_embed id='1896512']BEFORE YOU GO: Brad Pitt is actually a big ‘LetterKenny’ fan[/video_embed]
