We’re all finding unique ways to cope with being under quarantine — whether it’s binge-watching Westworld, FaceTiming everyone we’ve ever met, joining the TikTok bandwagon or, in the case of Adam Sandler and Jimmy Fallon, topical songwriting and social media performances.
On Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Sandler and Fallon synced up their musical (and often comical) talents to provide viewers with the brand new, must-listen track of 2020: “Don’t Touch Grandma.”
Never one to miss an opportunity to bring some lightness to otherwise dire topics, Fallon began the song with “I love my grandma so much / I know she loves me, too," while strumming on his guitar, and was then joined by Sandler who chimed in with, “But thanks to this stupid virus / There are some new grandma rules.”

Hey!”You can still smell her gramma smell from 6 feet away!! Best line in the whole song. Cracked me up.

The pair join the ranks of countless celebrities who have found ways to leverage their platform to urge global communities to practice caution during this time — and this wasn’t their first quarantine-inspired song. Last week, Sandler debuted his (aptly titled) #QuaranTune, “The Quarantine Song” on The Tonight Show, dedicating the song to frontline workers who are working tirelessly to combat the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
Really, what better way to spend isolation? We might not have the talents for it… but Sandler and Fallon definitely do. Keep the quarantine hits coming, you two. Oh, and don’t touch your grandma.
