Tuesday’s episode of World of Dance (Tuesdays at 10 pm ET on CTV) continued Season 4’s Qualifiers round and the competition is getting more diverse and impressive with each passing week. Judges Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo and Derek Hough found themselves surprised by innovative dance crews and this week’s lone solo artist (solo solo?) redefined flexibility. We need to stretch after simply watching the routine. The emotions were running high this week both for first-time World of Dancers and returning competitors. Miami dance crew Show Stoppers got the chance to deliver a heartfelt thank you to JLo for being a role model and dancer Erica returned with a new partner and made it to the Duels, surpassing her journey on Season 3 of World of Dance. Of course, dance is all about feeling, so what would the show be without a few tears?

MDC3

Trio MDC3 delivered a seamless performance set to OneRepublic’s “Apologize” that had contemporary dancer Derek Hough taking note. The team's creative and unique take on dance floor staples was enough to get them through to the Duels. Pairing that with their precision and undeniable talent means that it’s time to start placing bets on seeing MDC 3 in the finale.

KEAGAN

Dancers are known for their flexibility, but on Tuesday night, the concept of flexible was taken to a whole new level and one that seemingly defied what the human body is capable of. Twisting, turning and proving that the law of physics may simply be a suggestion, 13-year-old Keegan earned three yeses from the judges thanks to her unique routine. Derek wrote down "alien" in his notes because he felt the teen was otherworldly and JLo called her a show-off in the most adoring way possible. If three of the world’s most famous dancers can’t do more than 10 seconds of your choreography, you get to go to the Duels.

CHIBI UNITY

Precision and innovation are the two factors that help groups stand out among the competition and Japan’s Chibi Unity had both. Dressed in matching white pants and shirts with paint splatters, the crew moved as one and only separated when Fun.’s “Some Nights” called for individual note punches. The judges want to see bigger tricks and cautioned the group against another slow start, but it was a yes from both Derek and Ne-Yo. Hello Duals.

THE YOUNG CAST

We’re only three episodes into this season of World of Dance and we already have our second Canadian team. The Young Cast have previously auditioned twice for the reality show and finally made it through this season, showing off their impressive formations and transitions while performing to Missy Elliott’s “We Run This.” The Quebec crew received a yes from Derek Hough and a Call Back from JLo and Ne-Yo, which means there’s still a chance for the talented crew to make it to the Duels. Bonne chance!
