Last month, the Friends reunion (stream now on Crave) was an emotional event where Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer all returned to the rebuilt set to share stories from their time on the iconic '90s show. The reunion was hosted by James Corden, and we’ve had a sneaking suspicion that perhaps he was saving more unseen footage for The Late Late Show (weekdays at 12:30 ET on CTV).

Last night, James finally shared his "Carpool Karaoke" with the cast of Friends! Except they were in a golf cart. And they were just circling the Warner Bros backlot. And they only sang one song. The very song they’ve probably heard every day for 26 years.

"Here's the thing—we're all in a car together," James said as he steered the six-seater golf cart. "I was wondering, if it was OK with you, if we could listen to some music."

Cue The Rembrandts' iconic tune “I’ll Be There For You” (AKA the Friends theme song), which you may recall, was also a minor radio hit back in the 90s. The entire Friends cast even appeared in their official music video.

Not only did everyone still remember the words (we should hope so!), they also harmonized.

“I’ve always wanted to do ‘Carpool Karaoke!'” Courteney shouted with glee. Monica, same.

While in the golf cart (that James forgot to put into park and almost crashed with all six legends on board), the cast spoke about how meaningful the reunion has been for them.

Stepping onto the set the first time was an emotional moment for Jennifer, as she said, "We didn't expect it to hit us as hard as it hit us, I think."

David mused, "It was really meaningful and emotional to be on the set. And then to finally be in the same room together after all this time was really beautiful."

“I got teary,” Lisa said, so Jen reached over to pull her into a hug.

Of course, tears notwithstanding, this wouldn’t be Friends if we weren’t laughing, so James walked about the reconstructed set, like Joey and Chandler’s apartment, the hallway, and Monica and Rachel’s apartment, to recreate some iconic moments.

Yup, he leaned back into Chandler’s recliner and sighed. Yup, he sniffed the hallway floor. “Still smells like cheesecake!” Yup, he ran to the balcony and yelled like Monica, “I’m engaged!” It’s obvious James is a massive Friends fan.

At the end, they all sat in Central Perk and shared anecdotes, but leave it to Matt Leblanc to go full-Joey and make a joke about Courteney’s clothing wardrobe by calling it, “Monica’s rack.”

Oh Joey, you’ll never change.
