Crave Crave

This weekend Crave serves up: some more Black History, a cheeky romantic comedy and John Oliver's eighth season premiere.

42

Keeping up with Crave's celebration of Black History Month, 42 has landed on the platform. A sports biopic on baseball legend Jackie Robinson (who was the first-ever Black player to play in the league) also doubles as one of the late great (and recently-announced Golden Globe nominee) Chadwick Boseman's most iconic roles.

In a way, 42 is a double dose of Black history, as the now-iconic actor only played 12 characters during his short film career but left behind a legacy of depicting civil rights leaders, complex Black men and, of course, superheroes. It was not his first film role, but it's definitely the one that put Boseman on the map and launched a beautiful career.

You can stream 42 on Crave today. Plus check out the Crave Black Excellence Collection for more great titles.

Made in Italy

Valentine's Day is around the corner, and what is more romantic than Italy? In a refreshing change of pace from his usual kidnapper-hunting/tracking/killing persona, Liam Neeson stars in the film Made In Italy, a romantic comedy about a London painter who travels to, you guessed it, Italy.

Neeson takes the trip with his estranged son to sell a house he inherited from his late wife and, of course, while slumming it in one of the most romantic countries in the world, they both find love. While this film won't be nominated for any awards, Made in Italy is simply a cute and fun one to throw on while cuddled up either on your own or with a buddy this Sunday. Trust us.

You can stream Made in Italy on Crave today. And for more where that came from, check out Crave's Love & Sex Collection.

Last Week Tonight - Season 8 Premiere

Back despite popular demand, it's Last Week Tonight. The self-depricating but incredibly apt politics-explainer, John Oliver kicks off his eighth season on Valentine's Day with a premiere that is sure to... upset us about some obscure topic we never knew we needed to care about.

Yeah, John can be a real bummer but you can't say he's not funny (well, you can; humour is subjective). Anyway, Last Week Tonight is back. Watch it or don't.

Watch new episodes of Last Week Tonight Sundays on Crave.

The New Corporation: The Unfortunately Necessary Sequel

A Crave original documentary and the highly anticipated sequel to the 2003 critically acclaimed business doc The Corporation, The New Corporation: The Unfortunately Necessary Sequel further explores the influence corporations have on modern society.

Like the original doc, filmmakers Joel Bakan and Jennifer Abbott interview the world’s foremost business minds and trace the devastating consequences institutional greed and capitalism have worldwide. This is definitely not one for Valentine’s Day unless you really want to kill the mood, in which case, it's perfect.

You can stream The New Corporation: The Unfortunately Necessary Sequel on Crave today.
