You can’t please everyone, and no one knows that more than TV writers. When it comes to wrapping up a television show, writers have the difficult task of deciding whether to go with a happy ending or one that is saturated in painful realism. Will flawed characters ultimately be redeemed, will questions that have plagued viewers for hundreds of episodes finally be answered, or will the screen cut to black?
