Since nothing has gone as predicted in 2020, it only makes sense that the new season of Love Island (Monday-Sunday, 9pm on CTV) features a shocking twist. On Tuesday’s episode, the women thought they were having a relaxing spa day and the guys thought they were getting a day off from… relaxing. We personally can’t think of 10 harder working people that need a break right now. However, the guys were really being relocated to the brand new villa known as Casa Amor, where they met five new female Islanders ready to shoot their shot. Back at the original villa, the women met five new guys (sorry, men), who collectively have approximately 72 abs. It turns out, some people really did use quarantine to get in shape.

THE MEN OF THE VILLA

The new men of the villa brought their Ab-game, sorry, A-game and were ready to woo the ladies away from their boos. There’s party boy Mike, who uses his dance moves to give women a preview of his skills in bed. He’s already made a play for Kierstan, who is single and ready to mingle. Aaron is a cake decorator who is ecstatic to be anywhere that doesn’t enforce physical distancing. De’Andre is a professional baseball player who is going to have to hit a home run with his personality for us to forget that he uttered the phrase, “Ladies, your daddy is here.” Strike one. Then there’s lawyer Pat, who wants to add some flavour to the villa. We do not object. As for Jalen, the self-described sexiest guy in the villa, he caught Mackenzie’s eye, but Jalen has his sights set on Moira.

THE WOMEN OF CASA AMOR

The women of Casa Amor are coming in hot—ready to rip off their masks and use them as bikini tops. First up is Sher from Miami, who says she would have no problem letting Johnny throw her around. These sound bites are getting increasingly outrageous. Mercades is a nanny that already has the names of her kids picked out. That seemed really sweet and wholesome until she spent the day forcing herself on Johnny. That was not PG. Fun-sized GiNiele is ready to use her booty to hypnotize Caleb. Alabama native Laurel is a business woman who is making it her business to find a husband, while Faith is a beauty pageant counselor who wants world peace. And a hot guy. THE DÉCOR OF CASA AMOR

Before the ladies even arrived, the guys were thrilled to be in a new setting with an even brighter colour scheme than the villa. No one goes to Las Vegas for subtlety. Carrington looks like a man freed from death row, not someone who spent the past week making out with super hottie Kierstan. “There’s just love and sex in the air,” said Carrignton, adding “There’s a banana on the wall.” There sure is, Carrington. But what’s better than a banana on the wall? A bidet in the bathroom. Connor is finally ready to make things official… with Casa Amor.

WHO SHOULD BE NERVOUS

Well, everyone, but which couples are most in jeopardy after only a few hours apart?

• Cely and Johnny. Cely may be ready to cely-down with Johnny, but he’s busy getting whipped cream licked off him by Mercades.
• Moira and Calvin. Things may have been starting to finally pick up between the pair, but Jalen has his sights set on Moira and we already know she has a thing for guys with tats.
