Kanye West has taken to Twitter to defend himself, after negative response to lyrics in one of his new songs that debuted during his Yeezy Season 3 event in New York last night.

The lyrics to the song "Famous" include “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.”

Reports initially said Kanye had spoken to Taylor about the lyrics and got her approval.

But according to Swift's rep, “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.’”

Kanye has a different story.
Whatever the true story, Taylor's brother Austin made his feelings known immediately, posting this video to Instagram Thursday night, in which he throws out his Yeezy sneakers.

Getting a head start on some spring cleaning. Here we go again.
