Kaley Cuoco laughs off the pain of covering up her wedding date tattoo

Kaley Cuoco opens up about her separation from husband Ryan Sweeting during an appearance on Tuesday's "Ellen DeGeneres Show."

"You know, last year was very bizarre and we all go through really weird ups and downs," Cuoco says, explaining she and Ryan are getting divorced after a year and a half of marriage. "So I already feel like 2016 is going to be a much better year than 2015.

"It's been rough, but things are good now, I'm much, much better now and I'm in a much better place."

Cuoco also admits through laughter that she learned the hard way not to get your wedding date tattooed on your back.

"That tattoo was a mistake, I had to cover it," she says, showing off the moth design she now has instead.

"The significance [of the moth] is it was big enough to cover the numbers," she jokes.

In happier news, Cuoco is thrilled to be celebrating "The Big Bang Theory"'s 200th episode this week, though the major milestone made her and costar Johnny Galecki emotional during taping.

"Johnny and I, every week we go into the audience and we talk to the audience, and on the 200th we went up there and we both like started crying just kind of thinking about how special it was and what it meant to us."

"The Ellen DeGeneres Show" airs Monday to Friday at 10 a.m. ET on CTV Two and 4 p.m. ET on CTV.

The 200th episode of "The Big Bang Theory" airs Thursday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV.
