The nominations for the 2020 iHeartRadio Awards have been announced and Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Lizzo are some of the most represented artists at this year’s show.The year’s list of nominees is a mix of established and new artists, with Swift’s seventh studio album
Lover receiving nominations for Best Music Video and Best Choreography for “Me!,” Best Lyrics for “You Need To Calm Down,” Best Remix for “Lover” with Shawn Mendes, and Best Fan Army. Swift is also up for Female Artist of the Year, a stacked category that also includes Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Halsey and Lizzo.Newcomers Lizzo and Billie Eilish are continuing to dominate award shows, with both women just announced as performers for this year’s Grammy Awards. Lizzo, who is up for
eight Grammys, added to her growing list of accolades today with iHeartRadio Award nominations for Song of the Year for “Truth Hurts,” Female Artist of the Year, Best New Pop Artist, Best New Hip-Hop Artist, Best Lyrics for “Juice,” and Best Remix for “Good As Hell” featuring Ariana Grande.Billie Eilish is also up Best Female Artist, as well as Song of the Year, Best Lyrics, Best Music Video, and Alternative Rock Song of the Year for “bad guy,” with the Justin Bieber remix of the track nominated for Best Remix. Eilish’s brother and writing partner Finneas also received his own nominations for Producer of the Year and Songwriter of the Year.Canadian artists were well represented on this year’s list. Shawn Mendes earned multiple nominations for his Camila Cabello duet “Senorita,” including Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Lyrics, Best Music Video, and Best Choreography. Drizzy is also up for R&B Song of the Year for “Girls Need Love (Remix)” with Summer Walker and “No Guidance” with Chris Brown.Although he hasn’t released an album in five years, Justin Bieber still saw his name on the nomination list for his collaborations with Ed Sheeran, Dan + Shay and Billie Eilish.Toronto duo Loud Luxury are nominated for Dance Song of the Year for their track “Body” featuring brando, as well as a nod for Dance Artist of the Year. Fellow Toronto artist Frank Dukes, who was featured on
Swift’s Lover album, earned a nomination for Songwriter of the Year.The 2020 iHeartRadio Awards will take place Sunday, March 29
th at 8 p.m. ET in the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on FOX and all iHeartRadio streaming services.
Voting is now open and will close on March 23 for all categories except Best Fan Army, which closes March 27.
