Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber are releasing a new song on Friday

It’s happening. It’s really, finally happening. After months of speculation (and wishful thinking), Canada’s very own princes of pop are officially joining forces. Earlier today, Shawn Mendes took to social media to confirm a collaboration with Justin Bieber.Fans might recall that back in October, Mendes stopped by Capital Breakfast to stoke the flames of speculation, when he not-so-subtly teased a potential collaboration with Bieber. Now, it seems, we finally have our answer.Yes, Mendes and Biebs are definitely friends. But, more than that – they made music together.

In a move that surely threatened to break the internet, Bieber and Mendes shared a 13-second clip to their respective social media platforms today to tease the upcoming release of their latest track, “Monster”. According to the posts, fans can pre-save the song which is slated to arrive this Friday, November 20th.

Unfortunately, the clip doesn’t give much away. But, we suppose, that’s the whole point. A little suspense goes a long way, especially when it involves two of the biggest names in music.
