Madge’s Madame X tour has been anything but a “Holiday” for the 61-year-old singer, who has been learning the hard way that her body just can’t hold up the way that it used to. Following a tough fall on her tailbone during her February 29 concert, the popstar had to cancel her Sunday show in Paris, adding yet another cancellation to the growing list. It certainly seems like this entire experience is really starting to take a toll on her as she pushes herself to the “Borderline.”Madonna is currently in the middle of a 12-day residency at Le Grand Rex in Paris, but on Saturday night a dance move didn’t work out like it was supposed to during a performance of “Vogue,” and the singer fell after a mishap with a chair. According to social media she struggled to stand and then burst into tears later on while performing “Polaroid,” but she pushed through the pain and finished the show. It was only later on that she announced the Sunday show would have to be axed.[video_embed id='1882091']RELATED: Madonna cancels eighth show on world tour[/video_embed]“Here I Am——Flesh and Blood. If only knees didn’t twist and cartilage didn’t tear and nothing hurt and tears never fell out of our eyes.........But alas they do and Thank God for this important reminder that we are human,” Madonna shared on Instagram following the incident.“I Fell 2 nights ago on stage when a chair was literally pulled out from underneath me by mistake and I landed on the floor on my tail bone. I made it thru the show last night but just barely because I hate disappointing. However today even I can see that this broken doll held together with tape and glue, needs to stay in bed and rest for a few days so she can finish the tour with a smile on her face and in one piece.  Thank You for your understanding Paris!”

It's no secret that Madonna’s hip and knee injuries have been plaguing her over the past few months as she’s used a cane for support and cancelled more than a few shows citing injury. And because it’s Madge, who is just as known for her racy stage performances as she is her catchy pop hits, simply singing onstage and not dancing isn’t very on-brand for her.For her part Madonna has been trying everything she can think of to try to heal her body, from infusing her blood with ozone gas, to ice baths and massages. Considering she originally scheduled 93 performances across America and Europe and has been on the road since September, it’s no huge surprise her body isn’t holding up—that kind of a schedule is gruelling for anyone, let alone someone in their sixties. It probably doesn’t help that other issues have also plagued the tour, including some disappointed fans suing the performer for starting her show two-hours late, angry Canadians not appreciating her assessment that their country is “boring,” or that now-famous night in February when the powers-that-be at the London Palladium switched off the sound and dropped the curtain in the middle of a performance because it had gone over the 11 p.m. curfew.“It was 5 minutes past our 11:00 curfew, we had one more song to do and The Palladium decided to censor us by pulling down the metal fire curtain that weighs nine tonnes,” Madonna shared on Instagram at the time. “Fortunately they stopped it half way and no one was hurt. Many thanks to the entire audience who did not move and never left us. Power to the people!!”Thankfully for the singer, the Madame X tour is set to end after the Paris performances on March 11, and she can hopefully take some time to really rest up and heal like the “Material Girl” that she is.[video_embed id='1893361']RELATED: Madonna calls Canada ‘boring’ and offers Harry and Meghan her NYC apartment[/video_embed]
