Xtina fans, get ready to party like it's 1998. After months of speculation, it looks like our Mulan dreams are coming true. Christina Aguilera announced that she's recorded a new take on the classic track "Reflection," originally released for the animated film's soundtrack in '98.On Wednesday night, Aguilera took a moment during her Las Vegas residency ‘The Xperience’ to let her fans in on some details surrounding her latest project. “The live-action Mulan is coming out by the way. You have to go see it. I recorded a new 'Reflection' and new material for the movie," Christina said, addressing the crowd. "I've been working on that, but this is the original," she added before launching into the classic ballad on stage. Although this is the first time we're hearing about Christina's involvement in the new film, fans may have had a hunch following her appearance at Disney’s 2019 D23 Expo last August, where she was honoured as a Disney Legend. And perhaps the biggest clue? Christina gave a surprise performance of "Reflection" to the crowd during the Disney Legends Ceremony.[video_embed id='1896025']RELATED: Idina Menzel is hoping for a 'Frozen 3'[/video_embed]While Aguilera doesn't sing the track in the 1998 film itself (Mulan voice actress Lea Salonga performs it in the film), Christina's pop version of "Reflection," recorded when she was only 17 years old, became a Disney classic and was enough to launch her into worldwide fame. Talk about a full-circle moment happening before our eyes.Naturally, fans are pretty excited. Disney's live-action Mulan is directed by Niki Caro, with Yifei Liu starring as Mulan and Donnie Yen playing the role of Commander Tung, along with Jason Scott Lee, Yoson An, Gong Li, and Jet Li. And while we already know that the new film isn't a musical, and won't include the songs from the original animated film, the trailer does feature an instrumental arrangement of "Reflections" — could that be a hint at what's to come?Disney's Mulan hits theatres March 27, 2020, and until then, we'll be listening to Christina's classic ballad on repeat.[video_embed id='-1']BEFORE YOU GO: Little girl finally gets some snow to do her 'Frozen' scene[/video_embed]
