Céline Dion is striking a pose and peeling back the layers in her stunning new video for "Imperfections," volleying between scenes of the iconic Canadian singer posing in high-fashion couture and swimming naked in a pool of water. The stunning visuals for Dion’s newest single are here to remind you, in case you'd somehow forgotten, that Dion is one of the most important figures in music. The new black and white video keeps the camera lens focused on Dion, who moves with grace and power from one stunning gown to another as she strikes a pose she’s likely picked up from her years spent sitting front row at fashion shows. Reminiscent of Annie Lennox’s 1992 video for "Why," Dion sits in front of a mirror as she slowly removes her makeup to display her ‘imperfections,’ but let's be real, she still looks incredible. The vulnerability in the song’s lyrics are reflected in the video, with Dion breaking the fourth wall and staring directly into the camera while appearing naked. Singing "But, before I can love you / I need to learn to love myself,” Dion’s new song is one of her rawest and most personal yet and is already resonating with fans. "Imperfections" is directed by Montreal-native Gabriel Coutu-Dumont and his producing partner Janicke Morissett, with the pair listing Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift and Pink as their previous collaborators. The single is part of Dion’s upcoming 12th English-language album Courage, which is set to be released on November 15. In addition to the new track, Dion has already released the singles "Lying Down" and "Courage."Dion’s Courage is the first English album the singer has released since the death of her husband and manager René Angélil in 2016. The singer showed incredible strength following Angélil’s death after a long battle with throat cancer, performing months later at the Billboard Awards and releasing the French album Encore un soir the same year.Dion said goodbye to her Las Vegas residency this past June, but the energetic singer didn’t take much time off, kicking off her Courage World Tour this month on September 18 in her hometown of Quebec City. Dion’s tour will take her across Canada and the U.S. through 2019 and 2020, with the singer already adding more dates only one week into the tour.
