If you’ve been jonesing for V, Suga, Jin, JungKook, Jimin, J-Hope and RM to release more English pop songs, mark your calendars for August 21st, because Korea’s favourite boyband (and frankly, the world’s) is about to drop a single sung entirely in English. Even though the band just dropped their last album “Map of the Soul: 7” in February, it turns out this single will herald the upcoming release of their next album later this year.“Due to COVID-19, people around the world have been going through tough times and we wanted to share some positive energy with our fans,” the band said in a statement, noting that the yet-to-be-titled English song will be just as “upbeat” as their previous English-language endeavours like “Mic Drop” and “Waste It On Me.” They later said that the song was specifically written with all the struggles the world is currently facing amid the COVID-19 global pandemic in mind, because, “we also needed a breakthrough during these unforeseen times.”[video_embed id='1913806']RELATED: Everything you need to know about BTS[/video_embed]“We thought that the song sounded perfect as it is in English. We recorded the guide version and felt that the result was something totally new and fresh,” they explained, adding, “This is a new challenge for us as well.”It seems the superb-seven love taking on linguistic challenges, as they have also previously recorded music in Japanese on top of their native Korean. No word yet if the upcoming album will be entirely in English or will mix both English and Korean, but we have a pretty good feeling that these chart-toppers will have a hit on their hands no matter the language.Make no mistake, fans are loving the latest news. RIP the exclamation point, it has officially been used to death to mark this occasion Looks like the boys really used all that time quarantining together for good use. When they weren’t dancing up a storm for James Corden via video-chat that is, or dressing up to the nines in the best quarantine-fashion, they’ve been recording and working hard to give the fans even more music to Carpool Karaoke with.[video_embed id='2002688']Before you go: Natalie Portman is excited to 'get jacked' to play Mighty Thor[/video_embed
