Last year, Billie Eilish dominated the airways with tracks like "Bad Guy" and "Everything I Wanted," but it’s been a hot minute since fans have gotten their hands on any new music from the artist. Fortunately, that’s about to change. Taking to social media Friday, the singer announced a new single in true *mic drop* fashion, and fans officially have their calendars marked. Billie is back. This will mark her first single since "No Time to Die" which was produced for the upcoming James Bond film, and likely gives fans a much-needed dose of new Billie since her Where Do We Go? World Tour was rescheduled to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Sharing the news to Instagram, Billie posted a photo of herself in a grey tracksuit and black mask, backed by (a definitely Insta-worthy) L.A. sunset and, similar to Twitter, a simple caption stating ‘“my future” out thursday.'

Michael B. Jordan was among those who chimed in, posting a series of flame emojis. Michael, our thoughts exactly. Billie been keeping busy during the pandemic, using her social media platform to advocate for the Black Lives Matter movement, and starting a radio show with her Dad, aptly titled, ‘Me & Dad Radio’ on Apple Music. Back in January, the singer announced to fans that a new album was in the works, along with a documentary (which has reportedly been filmed since July of 2018) slated for 2020. Let’s not forget that her last album won Album of the Year at the 2020 Grammys — safe to say, whatever she’s cooking up, is sure to be something noteworthy. Although we aren’t sure of specific timelines, the release of a new single next Thursday seems like a good place to start.
