Queen Bey has joined Meg Thee Stallion on the remix to her viral hit single "Savage." It's a rare feature from Beyoncé, who hasn't blessed us with new material since her The Lion King: The Gift compilation project in July 2019.It arrives on the track that inspired a TikTok challenge, from Thee Stallion, a top female emcee who's on the cusp of crossing over into mainstream. Maybe a little assist from Beyoncé could help? It makes sense after all since the feature comes after Meg recently signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation management.Proving once again that her bars are just as good as any other rapper out there, Bey holds her weight against hip-hop's next leading lady, who's already been approved by, and collaborated with the Queen of Rap, Ms. Nicki Minaj. On the remix, the already sassy single becomes a celebration of sisterhood and female empowerment, with Beyoncé offering multiple verses (with references to her mama Tina Lawson being the original savage, TikTok and OnlyFans, which got a bump last week thanks to Ansel Elgort) and vocal runs which blend seamlessly.[video_embed id='1948280']RELATED: The big names giving big bucks for COVID-19 relief.[/video_embed]The song was first released as a Tidal Exclusive but premiered on YouTube Thursday afternoon with an animated treatment featuring a majestic horse and a “Welcome to Houston” sign. Both artists are from the Texas capital, and that's exactly where proceeds from this single will go—to Bread of Life, a disaster relief organization in Houston.Okay, now pls excuse us while we go practice the #SavageChallenge.
