Ariana Grande made a promise earlier this month, and she delivered. Ari's highly anticipated sixth studio album, Positions, is out now.Positions is the follow-up to her fifth album (and masterpiece) Thank U, Next and her third album release in three years. This album is stacked with guest spots from Doja Cat, Ty Dolla $ign and Toronto's very own The Weeknd. The new album showcases all the whistle notes and shines a light on Grande's healing process that brought out a very sexy side of the singer, specifically in tracks "34 + 35" and "nasty." If you do the math correctly, "34 + 35" equals 69, and Grande does not shy away from the explicit lyrics in this song. With lines like "Baby, you might need a seat belt when I ride it," and "Can you stay up all night, f--k me until the daylight," the track is definitely about sex and Grande just delivered a new bedroom anthem. In her track with The Weeknd, titled "Off the Table," we get a follow-up collab to their dreamy 2014 song "Love Me Harder." Grande sings about a love that's "so damn hard to replace" and questions if she will "ever love the same way again." This R&B duet has people on Twitter already wondering if it's a song about Grande's late boyfriend Mac Miller, who passed away in September 2018. Throughout Positions, Grande takes us through the journey of her new relationship with boyfriend Dalton Gomez, especially with the track "Safety Net." "You know you really something, yeah / How we get here so damn fast? / Only you can tell me that / Baby, 'cause you know I'm coming back / You're making me forget my past / Never thought I'd feel like that again / I came to peace with my path / Now you got me off track," she sings on the song. The "Thank U, Next" singer released the 14-song tracklist for her new album earlier this week and let her Arianators know that she doesn't have a favourite song on the album, but it is her favourite project "for many reasons.""I don’t have a top three or anything! Everything goes hand in hand. This project is my favourite for many reasons and I really can’t wait for it to be yours. Thank u for your love and excitement, it means the world to me," she tweeted. The new album comes a week after Grande released the music video for the title track, “Positions.” Throughout the music video, Grande shows off her inner girl boss by switching positions from the kitchen to cabinet meetings in the boardroom and signing laws in the Oval Office while still hitting all those notes.Grande sings: "Switchin' the positions for you / Cookin' in the kitchen and I'm in the bedroom / I'm in the Olympics, way I'm jumpin' through hoops / Know my love infinite, nothin' I wouldn't do / That I won't do, switchin' for you."
Positions is available now on all streaming platforms, and it's safe to say that this album will easily be another No.1 for Ariana Grande.[video_embed id='2021405']BEFORE YOU GO: Woman films creepy doll moving on its own[/video_embed]
