Shawn Mendes stirred up a lot of hype recently with the teaser trailer that preceded the release of his new single, “Wonder,” all of which was accompanied by a virtual-reality website filled with clues and nuggets about what Shawn has in store. It turns out it’s not just an album he has planned for anxiously awaiting fans; the Pickering, Ontario native has an entire documentary ready to drop on Netflix. Mark your calendars and download Netflix, because you won’t want to miss In Wonder dropping on the streaming platform on November 23rd.Right ahead of his album release, which is slated for December 4th, In Wonder is touted as a feature-length documentary offering an intimate look at the Canadian singer-songwriter. [video_embed id='2050795']RELATED: Shawn Mendes hints at a collab with Justin Bieber[/video_embed]Variety has speculated that the doc, filmed over the past few years, will most likely include the behind-the-scenes life and journey from Shawn’s last world tour that took him to North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Previously, the doc was a special event selection at this year's Toronto International Film Festival. Shawn’s charitable foundation, the Shawn Mendes Foundation, recently partnered with TIFF to launch the SMF Changemaker Award, given to a TIFF film each year that is focused on social change.
The doc is directed by veteran music video director Grant Singer (The Weeknd, Lorde, Sam Smith), and marks the second documentary about Shawn in the past couple years.
