Put your paws up and get ready for a “Paparazzi” invasion because Lady Gaga is officially dropping new music on Friday and Little Monsters everywhere are celebrating. It has, after all, been roughly 1,223 days, 29,352 hours and 1,761,120 minutes since Gaga’s last studio album, Joanne dropped. Not that anyone is counting or anything. The singer made the big reveal via social media on February 25, announcing that fans will have access to the first single of her new album, “Stupid Love,” on Friday—because everyone deserves to kick off their weekend right. So far everything about #LG6 (as Gaga has been calling her sixth studio album online), has been pretty mysterious, so this is the news people have been waiting for. The post included some hot pink lips on a splashy billboard that also features the word “Chromatica,” aka what fans have been speculating the new album will be called. One theory is that Chromatica could feature 12 tracks, with each song representing a different colour on the chromatic scale. “Stupid Love” is pink, obviously, which Gaga has been seen wearing a lot of lately as she promotes her new Haus makeup. Whatever Gaga decides to name this thing though, it’s obvious this album is a labour of love that she is giving birth to at her leisure. Considering how busy Gaga has been lately with her sold-out Las Vegas residency show, Enigma, becoming the first woman to earn five No. 1 albums this decade, that little old movie she did with Bradley Cooper in 2018, and a hot new romance that’s now Instagram-official, it’s kind of impressive that the musician has found any time to produce a new album. Then again, does anything Lady Gaga does surprise fans anymore?[video_embed id='1805571']RELATED: Elton John said Lady Gaga is the only ‘real star’ at the moment[/video_embed]Meanwhile, given how much Monsters freaked out over a little 30-second snippet of “Stupid Love” that was supposedly leaked in January, they’re basically losing their minds now that official music is coming in a matter of days. Although nothing has been officially confirmed at time of press, some of the collaborators Gaga is supposedly working with this time around include Scottish producer SOPHIE, Germany’s Boys Noize, and former contributors Mark Ronson & BloodPop. Meanwhile, for those who are hoping for a bit of retro Gaga, you’ll be jazzed to know the new album is supposedly less like the country-pop inspired Joanne and more in tune with the techno dance ditties from The Fame and ArtPOP.So basically, if you’re looking to “Just Dance” this weekend to “The Edge of Glory” while ditching your work “Poker Face,” well… Gaga and “Stupid Love” are here to save you.[video_embed id='-1']Before you go: This fearless pug pup thinks she's a big dog[/video_embed]
