Madonna once sang in her 2005 mega hit “Hung Up,” that “time goes by so slowly for those who wait,” and now two Madonna fans and concertgoers are not only agreeing, they’re suing the Queen of Pop for making them wait two hours for her show to start.
According to reports, the Material Girl is facing a class action lawsuit in New York after two concertgoers said they were “left stranded” in the middle of the night in Brooklyn because Madge’s show, scheduled to begin at 8:30PM, only began around 10:30 PM

Billboard reports that fans Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden filed the suit on Wednesday the 17th, saying the “Express Yourself” singer caused them real legal harm with her late start time because they had to get up early in the morning for work but her show only ended in the wee hours of the morning. They are calling this a breach of contract.
“Defendants’ actions constitute not just a breach of their contracts … but also a wanton exercise in false advertising, negligent misrepresentation, and unfair and deceptive trade practices,” their attorneys state in court documents.
Documents obtained by Page Six also reveal the claimant's suit claims her late start time is an example of “wanton exercise in false advertising, negligent misrepresentation, and unfair and deceptive trade practices.”
Page Six also reports that fans at Barclays Center in Brooklyn were chanting “bulls**t” as the hours wore on, angry that the “Papa Don’t Preach” songstress was late or delayed.
Billboard reports the attorneys also state in the suit that fans should have been given warning the show would likely start late given the “Vogue” singer’s propensity for late start times. “Madonna has a long history of arriving and starting her concerts late, sometimes several hours late,” the suit states. “This history occurred throughout her 2016 Rebel Heart Tour, her 2019-2020 Madame X Tour, and prior tours, where Madonna continuously started her concerts over two hours late.”
The two men are asking for unspecified damages for having to get home early in the morning with limited transportation options and price-surging charges in ride shares. Madonna is named as a defendant alongside Live Nation and Barclays Center.
Fans of the Queen of Pop are taking to social media to share their shock and awe at the suit.
I honestly have never cared what time she starts - seeing a Madonna show is always an incredible experience. And 10:30pm is not late in the city that never sleeps 🎉 https://t.co/Lsy3sIf3NL pic.twitter.com/EvKUXwwbvk

Madonna was over two hours late at our London show, we know her shows always run late, there were lighting & sound issues at ours, so we took the next day off work as a precaution.
We always do. pic.twitter.com/HTC6bdtSCW
However, some on social media think that it’s about time the Queen of Pop faced consequences.

Sorry no… it’s total disrespect to the fans who pay crazy money to see their favourite artist. I’d say about all of them. Ok a bit of a delay, but two hours. Madonna is rude and doesn’t value the dedication of her fans or their safety and wellbeing, trying to get home late!
