Is there a Drake and Taylor Swift collab in the 1989 vault?

Fans are speculating a collab is coming after Drake shared what looks to be a throwback photo with Swift on Instagram.

“They too soft to understand the meaning of hard work,” he captioned the post.

The photo was the last in a carousel that included snaps of Drake and one of his son, Adonis. Naturally, the Drake fans and Swifties were THROWN by this development. 

“Oh Taylor Swift and Drake are about to break the internet,” one person wrote in the comments.

“Not the Drake x Taylor collab actually coming,” added another.

It’s unclear when the photo was taken, but it’s definitely a throwback (look at those Taylor bangs). That led others to wonder if a previously rumoured collab, circa 1989, is actually in the vault.

By extension, this might mean that 1989 is the next re-recorded album we might be getting from Taylor. She would tease us this way...

In the end, most fans seem confused but excited by a potential new (or old) song from the duo.

For now both artists seem to be riding the high of their respective 2021 album releases, but IF WE KNOW ANYTHING, it's that a Taylor tease ALWAYS means something...
