2020 was Megan Thee Stallion's year and it looks like 2021 belongs to her too.  After “Body,” “Savage,” “Hot Girl Summer,” and of course, “WAP” with Cardi B, she cleaned up at the Grammy’s, the BET Hip Hop Awards, and the American Music Awards. But with great success, comes great haterade (pretty sure that’s a Winston Churchill quote); and that’s something our Texan rapper addresses head on in her new single “Thot Sh*t.”

Rapping about all the people who used to cheer her on who now wish for her downfall, Megan uses her patented humour and epic poetic talent to take their silly gripes three times around the dancefloor. She lampoons bloggers, YouTube trolls, and even political figures with, “I don't give a f**k about a girl tryna bash me. I'm the s**t per the Recording Academy.” *Mic drop*

“I remember h**s used to clap for me happily / Now I’m bossed up and the same h**s mad at me,” she continues in the verse. “Acting like they ridin’, whole time tryna pass me / Why keep me goin through still tryna drag me.”

The music video is even more scathing, satirizing the old white men in the US Senate who denigrate her character (and many empowered women) whilst simultaneously, er, let’s just say, taking the time to enjoy her physical attributes.

In the video, a theoretical US Senator leaves a trolling YouTube comment on her “Body” video, so she claps back immediately, calling him up to say, “Look motherf***er the women that you accidentally trying to step on are everybody that you depend on! They treat your diseases, they cook your meals, they haul your trash, they drive your ambulances, they guard you while you sleep; they control every part of your life! Do not f**k with them!”

Megan and her bevy of booty-shaking beauties then take to torturing the senator at every turn: he’s hit with a garbage truck, he’s surrounded at the grocery store, and he can’t get a meal at the restaurant. Why? Because there are strong Black women everywhere and he’s too fragile to deal.

The most jaw-dropping clip in the video involves Megan and her girl-gang performing a surgical operation on the senator and he emerges with . . . well, let’s just say that part of the video is definitely 18+.

All these reactions have made Megan a trending topic on Twitter, and she definitely has been seeing all the praise from her fans, including fan videos.

Recently, Megan said that she’d love to do a collab with pop-dance queen Dua Lipa, espesh after seeing a mash-up some fans made of their two songs: “Levitating,” by Dua, and the rap verse Megan did on Phony Ppl’s track, “Fkn Around.”

Yes, she saw it! Dua, your move!
