On the heels of their epic Billboard Music Awards performance, Kpop boyband BTS performed "Butter" again (bless!), this time on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Of course, the single already broke Spotify and YouTube streaming records when it was released just five days ago. Just like the opening lyrics to the tune, these guys are smooth like butter.

RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook dressed in sleek black suits as they danced and sang through what appears to be an abandoned art deco hotel. There’s a grand ballroom, a shimmering chandelier, art deco furnishings and highlights, and even an explosion of gold glitter. It’s raining (sparkly) butter! (Hallelujah!)

The fans WERE HAVING IT.

After they debuted the song, the “Butter” video set a new all-time 24-hour record of 108.2 million views on YouTube, breaking the band's own previous record of 101.1 million views for "Dynamite." That is in addition to more than 20.9 million global streams on Spotify, meaning “Butter” has the most opening-day streams in Spotify history.

If that’s not enough BTS for you (it never is), they also released behind the scenes footage (so, BTS BTS footage?) of their in-studio dance practice for “Butter,” so you can view just how hard the septuplet work for their, ahem, bread and butter.

On Colbert, Stephen also had the fab seven do a cute little segment where they sat down and taught viewers some of their favourite totally-real hand gestures. The band has popularized the Korean finger hearts hand gesture (put your thumb and index finger together to create the outline of a heart) with their worldwide fame, but in this segment, they also shared faves like "Help! That guy stole my pogo stick!" and "Late-night TV host Stephen Colbert."
