While we all patiently wait for Drake to tell us when he’s going to drop his new album, Certified Lover Boy, it’s reassuring to know that he has some other exciting things in the works. The “Nice for What” rapper was spotted early Monday morning filming two scenes for a new music video, and etalk has the exclusive photos.

The Toronto native was photographed all bundled up on set while filming the video in downtown Toronto around 4:30 a.m. on Monday morning. He shot one scene in the Yonge and Dundas area, and another while hanging off the side of a Maybach SUV, decked out in Prada.

Take a look at some of the pictures from the music video shoot below.

We think it’s safe to say that the music video is for one of his new songs on Certified Lover Boy. The album was originally set to drop in January, but the 34-year-old rapper delayed its release date following surgery on his knee.

“I was planning to release my album this month,” he wrote in January, “but between surgery and rehab my energy has been dedicated to recovery."

“I’m blessed to be back on my feet, feeling great and focused on the album,” he continued, “but CLB won’t be dropping in January.”

During a live stream last week, DJ Akademiks gave an update on Certified Lover Boy. “CLB’ update. I’ve seen some people say, ‘oh, it was supposed to drop tonight,’ as in Thursday night. No. No, it’s not dropping then,” he said.

“Drake told me that it’s going to be dropping before April so he’s not waiting until summer to drop his sh-t. I don’t wanna say before April… April or before,” he added.

Akademiks added that Drake spent “so much time on this project” that he’s not trying to put out a surprise, as he did with If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late in February 2015.

Drake released a minute-long trailer for the album on his 34th birthday last October. The clip makes visual references to his previous releases, Take Care, Nothing Was The Same, and Dark Lane Demo Tapes

We're ready and waiting for that CLB release date.
