Beliebers rejoice, because Canadian pop icon Justin Bieber wants truth, liberty, and “Justice” for all. The “Lonely” singer announced on his Instagram Friday afternoon that his long-awaited sixth studio album “Justice” is set to drop March 19th, and he wants it to “provide comfort” to fans and listeners during these unprecedented times.

“In a time when there’s so much wrong with this broken planet, we all crave healing – and justice – for humanity,” he wrote in the caption that accompanies a picture of the new album cover. “In creating this album, my goal is to make music that will provide comfort; to make songs that people can relate to, and connect to, so they feel less alone. Suffering, injustice and pain can leave people feeling helpless.”

“Music is a great way of reminding each other that we aren’t alone. Music can be a way to relate to one another and connect with one another,” he continued in his statement. “I know that I cannot simply solve injustice by making music, but I do know that if we all do our part by using our gifts to serve this planet, and each other, that we are that much closer to being united.”

He finished it off by adding, “This is me doing a small part. My part. I want to continue the conversation of what justice looks like so we can continue to heal.”

The album cover image, which is green-tinted and shows a shaggy-haired Justin face-palming in an underpass tunnel, was shot by photographer Rory Kramer, who revealed on Instagram that it has been his life-long dream as a photographer to shoot an epic album cover, and provided behind-the-scenes details of how he got the gig.

“Huge thank you to Justin for giving me this opportunity and trusting me to execute his vision,” he wrote in the caption of his post that includes screen-caps of conversation and extra shoot photos. “Can’t wait for you to hear this album.” Thanking his crew for helping to create the texture of the album cover, he explains, “we printed the photo and began scratching it, crumbling it, and even pouring ginger ale on it, then scanning it back in giving us a unique one of a kind look.” He even revealed that Justin himself designed the logo.

Details and track-listings for his follow-up to last year’s “Changes” are scarce, but we do know it will include his 2020 singles, “Holy” (featuring Chance the Rapper), “Lonely” (featuring benny blanco), and “Anyone.” If you want to make sure you get it the minute it drops, pre-orders are now available.

Of course, the top comment on Justin’s post is from his wife of two years, Hailey Bieber, who commented, “yay baby!” But fans are taking to social media with unbridled joy.

Some fans have even noticed that the release date, March 19th, is the same calendar date Justin chose for his debut studio album “My World” back in 2010. We’re not sure if this is intentional or not, but we can’t wait to find out!
