Timothée Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan are teaming up once again, this time for director Wes Anderson in his latest caper,
The French Dispatch. The award-winning writer and director is back with his tenth feature length film and has amassed an all-star cast even by Wes Anderson standards.
Lady Bird and
Little Women co-stars Chalamet and Ronan both appear in the first trailer for
The French Dispatch, which dropped Wednesday morning. Chalamet and his Bob Dylan-inspired hair ride a motorcycle, help lead a revolution and get caught naked in the bathtub by Frances McDormand in the new two-minute trailer, which is packed with blink-and-you’ll-miss-them celebrity cameos. As for Ronan, her hair also makes a big impact in the trailer, which shows the Oscar-winning actor cooly filing her nails while she poses with a mop of blond curls. Ronan previously starred in Anderson’s 2014 film
The Grand Budapest Hotel, which was the last live action feature released by the American director (Anderson premiered his stop-motion
Isle of Dogs in 2016).
The French Dispatch also acts as a reunion for several of Anderson’s collaborators, including Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Edward Norton, Willem Dafoe, Anjelica Houston, Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton, and Léa Seydoux. Stephen Park, Elizabeth Moss, Jeffrey Wright and Benicio Del Toro are also set to star in the new film, which his set in a fictional town in France. Fox Searchlight released the official synopsis for

The French Dispatch. Based on the history of
The New Yorker, Anderson wrote his latest film with Jason Schwartzman, Roman Coppola, and Hugo Guinness. The film focuses on three separate stories, including an artist in prison, a group of kids starting a revolution, and the kidnapping of a prominent police sergeant's son. Based on the trailer, the new film will easily capture the magic, comedy and whimsy of Anderson’s previously released films, including
The Darjeeling Limited and
The Royal Tenebaums. Get ready to see a lot of
French Dispatch-inspired Halloween costumes next October.Anderson has been nominated for seven Academy Awards so far in his career, including Best Director, Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay for
The Grand Budapest Hotel, which won Best Musical or Comedy at the 2014 Golden Globes.
