Big Little Lies fans, we have big, big news for you. Variety reports Nicole Kidman and Alexander Skarsgård will be reunited on our screens for Robert Eggers’ next film. The upcoming project, titled The Northman, is also rumoured to have The Witch’s Anya Taylor-Joy and It’s Bill Skarsgård on board — talk about an incredible cast, and a dynamic brotherly duo. In fact, the Skarsgård bros haven’t shared a movie set since 2000, for the Swedish thriller White Water Fury. The Northman is described as a Viking revenge tale set during the 10th century, with Iceland serving as the scenic backdrop. Egger is best known for his horror film The Witch, a critically-acclaimed story which demonstrated his knack for building dread with rich cinematic visuals, and his unique atmospheric approach to horror. Lars Knudsen (Hereditary and The Witch) will produce, and we can’t wait to see how Knudsen and Eggers’ unique styles will inspire this latest Hollywood trope. But fans are really hoping to recreate Big Little Lies' Monterey magic. Often hailed as one of the best dramas in its genre to date, the celebrated Crave series has brought both Kidman and Skarsgård Emmy and Golden Globe wins, and BLL enthusiasts will surely be thrilled to see them join forces again. The season two finale of Big Little Lies aired earlier this summer and was assumed to be the last viewers will see of the ‘Monterey Five’. However, a third season doesn’t seem entirely out of the question (although maybe still unlikely) with Kidman explaining “We’d love to [do another season] because we love being together, and it’s lovely spending time with your friends, and with such good material”.This isn’t our first dose of Kidman in the weekly entertainment circuit, though. The award-winning actress has had quite a week, and is currently on the promotional tour for her latest film, “Bombshells alongside co-stars and bonafide Hollywood royalty Charlize Theron and Margot Robbie. The movie is already suspected to be an Oscar frontrunner, and will give audience members an intimate look at one of the biggest scandals to ever go down on Fox News. For their latest interview, Kidman and her co-stars stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week to talk about the movie and, in typical Ellen fashion, play a game of “Who would Charlize rather?” Since Kidman and Robbie are both married, only Theron was put on the spot to choose between the likes of The Weeknd, Trevor Noah (who she insisted was like a brother), Harry Styles and even Michael B. Jordan who, Theron revealed, Kidman once dated.
