Letitia Wright says it's 'only a matter of time' until there's an all-female 'Avengers' movie

Nothing says girl power like an all-female superhero movie and Black Panther star Letitia Wright is here to let us know that she agrees.Wright, who played Shuri in the superhero movie, suggested that the possibility of an all-female Marvel film is pretty big during an interview with Yahoo Entertainment."I don't think we have to fight for it," she said of the potential film. Wright also noted that Marvel producer Victoria Alonso has been vocal about the idea. “[Alonso] is very strong about spearheading it, alongside Kevin [Feige].""It’s only a matter of time before they do it,” Wright added, before sharing that she would want her Black Panther co-stars in the movie, including Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o and Angela Bassett.The 26-year-old actress also brought up Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie, who made her debut into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Thor: Ragnarok, and Brie Larson's Captain Marvel. “Definitely have to have Captain Marvel, definitely,” Wright said.Director Ryan Coogler has been onboard with an all-female spin-off of his movie Black Panther since 2018. "That would be amazing if the opportunity came up,” Coogler told Variety at the time. “There’s a whole section of the film where T’Challa is out of the movie and you’re just following the women. That’s one of my favourite parts of the movie when I watched it, and I didn’t expect that. In an interview with Net-A-Porter, she said that the team behind the Marvel movie was focusing on grieving the loss of Boseman.“We’re just still mourning Chad, so it’s not something I even want to think about,” Wright said. “The thought of doing it without him is kinda strange.
