We are loving all of the women in Hollywood lately who are taking the reins on directing in their own work. Olivia Wilde is the latest actress-turned-director who is diversifying her portfolio with a new psychological thriller entitled Don’t Worry, Darling. Okay, that already sounds ominous enough. Consider us hooked. The new film is Wilde's second foray into directing after making her debut with 2019's coming-of-age high school comedy Booksmart starring Hollywood up-and-comers Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein. Wilde's next offering looks to me much darker, but teaming with big-name talent.Dakota Johnson is the latest Hollywood heavyweight to reportedly be in talks to sign onto the project, joining the previously-announced cast of Florence Pugh (Little Women), Shia LaBeouf and Wonder Woman hunk Chris Pine. This will also make for the onscreen reunion of Dakota and Shia who appeared together last year in The Peanut Butter Falcon. Wilde herself will also reportedly get some screen time in the project.[video_embed id='1957910']RELATED: Dakota Johnson opens up about depression[/video_embed]The combo of Dakota and Olivia is a particularly fun one since the 50 Shades star recently took her own turn in the director’s chair. She opened up, in a profile for Marie Claire this week, about directing a music video for British rock gods, Coldplay. Granted, she is dating Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, but according to her, that had nothing to do with her being chosen to helm the creative project. “I wrote the story and pitched it to the band like every other director,” she explained. That’s right, the woman got the gig on her own merit, not because of her relationship. As for Wilde's Don’t Worry, Darling, not much is known about the project, and of course, shooting may be delayed for a while due to COVID-19 concerns. However, we do know that Set It Up screenwriter Karen Silberman is penning the original script which is “set in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert.” Stepford Wives 2020, here we go![video_embed id='-1']BEFORE YOU GO: Safest child ever sleeps with two protective German Shepherds [/video_embed]
