Billie Elish fans rejoice, because her forthcoming Apple TV+ Documentary, Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry, is about to give you a deeper look at her life when it’s released on Friday, February 26.

Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry tells the true coming-of-age story of the Grammy-winning singer and her rise to global superstardom. The doc comes from award-winning filmmaker R.J. Culter and offers a deeply intimate look at Billie’s journey. The 19-year-old singer began navigating life on the road, stage and at home with her family and friends while writing, recording and releasing her debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? in 2019.

In an exclusive clip from the doc, Billie and her brother Finneas work against the clock to finish Billie’s 2019 debut album before their deadline. The clip begins with Billie surrounded by fans in a crowd at a concert and transitions to her sitting on a coach and recording “all the good girls go to hell.” The siblings argue back and forth over the quality of the song, with a frustrated Billie insisting that it sounds terrible (although the six Grammys she would eventually pick up for the record say otherwise).

For Billie stans everywhere that can’t wait for the doc to drop on Friday, they are invited to take part in a global live premiere event to celebrate the release of the Apple Original Film. The event will include an exclusive, stripped-down performance by the “bad guy” singer, special video packages from the film, an interview with Cutler, and an intimate conversation with Billie, all hosted by Apple Music host & DJ Zane Lowe.

Festivities will kick off at 6 p.m. PT/ 9 p.m. ET, and the event will be available to stream for free through Apple TV, Apple Music and Billie’s own YouTube channel. Immediately following the event, Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry will debut on Apple TV+.

In an interview with Vanity Fair in January, Billie opened up about her excitement for the doc and said that she’s “always loved cameras.” Billie continued, “and I loved being on camera, and I’ve always loved watching videos of myself since I was a little kid. I remember being 10 and being like, ‘Mom, can I watch home movies?’”

Billie’s mom revealed that the “everything I wanted” singer took her first steps towards her video camera because she wanted to see the footage her mom filmed. She took a few steps back with the camera, and Billie walked right up to her.

“Billie is a member of the unique moment in history,” R.J. Cutler told Vanity Fair. “Where perhaps every second of her life has been recorded in some form or another.” Cutler had been immediately drawn to the project with Billie. “Those stories of teenage life are so interesting to me. It’s such a fascinating time of life, where you were both child and adult; one foot in childhood, one foot in adulthood,” Cutler explained, “and especially for somebody who’s going through what Billie was going through and who was such a remarkable talent.”

Join the live premiere event on February 25 at 6 pm PT / 9 pm ET on Billie’s YouTube channel, Apple TV, or Apple Music.
